Our Sponsors

Where can I find a history of our shirt sponsors?

Is there a long lost thread on this?

has anyone ever had dealings with HAT painting?

I had to help my sons with their Easter bonnets once. No Painting, just sticking a few bits on, though.

I once complained about the price of their painting sets but they gave me the brush off.

There is no history - the club is trying to gloss over it all.

Manufacturers from when i can remember.

EDIT - Buhkta - Late 70's - Whne the Kit was sponsored by The Chronicle.

Umbro circa 1983, the Radio 210 stripy Kit,

Patrick from 84-89??
Replaced with a dodgy "Scoreline" kit which was the same design as the old Patrick kit.... some games there was even a mix of both kits....

EDIT - Not forgetting the "matchwinner" kits of the HAT painting Era.

Then when we went back to Hoops in 1992 it was made by Brooks...
which was shabbily replced by PELADA .... the replica Kit had a Pelada badge stuck over the top of the Brooks logo.

Then it was Mizuno

Then i think Kit@

Then Puma

I bought a 78/79 "Bukta" shirt, but I had to order it specially and it took about 6 weeks to arrive.

I got it from the brilliant sports shop in Minster Street (forget the name) - now those were the days when sports shops sold proper sports stuff like tennis racquet's and croquet sets, not trainers and chavwear.

Also got an 82/83 "Argentina" shirt for my ex-wife and that needed ordering too, so no replica shirts til mid 80s, I think.

Unfortunately chav wear is more popular than sports equipment that a lot of chavs don't play. There are now specialists that you have to look for.........
