Sidwell V Reading

by Binfield Royal » 08 Aug 2007 13:21

When Cheatski come next week and if Siddy is picked as seems likely with the amount of injuries they seem to have just now, what sort of treatment will the "Reading Faithfull" give Sidwell.

I hope it is remembered that he served Reading well for 4 seasons and even after he knew he was leaving, he always gave a good performance in a Reading shirt.

I hope he will get a good reception from our fans.

There will, I suspect, be some whose memory will malfunction as soon as they seem him in a Chelsea shirt - sadly that will make the rest of us seem like plonkers as well.

I regard him as one of the best Reading players I've seen, and as such I'll applaud him when his name is read out.

However, I will also applaud when Bikey knocks him off his feet.

I echo Thomas' thoughts...

From the majority, he'll get the usual warm welcome when his name is read out followed by the usual abuse during the game as he no longer plays for us.

I just want us to beat Chelsea and Sidwell to get boo'd when he touches the ball. Nothing over the top, just the usual stick ex-players get.

He isn't in the same league when it comes to legendry status as Curo.

I never thought I'd say this, but I am interested in hearing woodcote Royal's opinion.

I don't reckon he'll boo him, he'll just sit there and not clap or anything when they read his name out. Then he'll just be desperate for him to have a bad game.

I'd expect anybody up to the age of 15 and/or with an IQ of up to 100 to boo him. Anybody else that does is not a Reading fan.

I'll clap and feel slightly sick when his name is read out.

Then hope he gets sent off.

Well he does sit in the Upper West, an area of the ground which makes a Cemtery look animated.

I've no doubt he'll be on here slating him, if he has a bad game though and saying we didn't miss him, he was rubbish, using the words greedy-bollox at least once.

FFS, why are you going to boo one of our players? There is no reason. Seol i reckon will live up to his reputation as a good player and not like some people think as a tosh player. He'll do well...
