Chaney Coppell-5 needs to learn how to drop out of form players..AND STOP BEING SO FEKKING LOYAL TO PLAYERS THAT ARE CLEARLY NOT GOOD ENOUGH AT THIS LEVEL

Also needs to makes substitutions earlier. Long should have been on up front about 20 minutes earlier.

Why though? cos we were pretty strong in the 2nd half until they scored the 2nd goal...making subs would have disrupted the structure that Coppell obviously told them he wanted them to play at half-time...did you not see him on the touchline midway thru the 1st half trying to get instructions onto the pitch and at times you could see the frustration when players seemed unable to carry out a simple task...
People jump on Coppells back way too quickly...i can't think of a better manager to have who is currently available...the problem at the moment appears to be with the limited level of skill on the pitch...and before anyone says we need to spend at least £20m ffs, players have got to want to come and play for Reading it is not as simple as it is on a computer game

Basically agree with all these except no 7's. 6 for Harper, Kitson and Bikey. I'm a bit inclined to go 5 on Hunt too. Nothing happened for him today, and if Doyle gets negative points for missing his chance, what about Hunty?!Chaney USA-5 did ok, but awful fumble for 1st goal
Murty-4 clearly past his best and approaching veteran stage
Shorey-5 not given too much chance to get forward, badly outpaced for 2nd goal.
Inga-6 steady game, won some vital tackles
Sonko-1 useless just not good enough on current form,
Harper-7 covered alot of ground and tried hard.
Cisse-6 did ok, energetic performance
Hunt-6 tried to run at a strong Portsmouth defence with very little success
Doyle-6 tried hard but fluffed the best chance of the game.
Convey-5 very little chance to impress before being subbed
Kitson-7 again a good game, tried to hold up the play.
Subs.
Bikey-7 slow start but improved as the game went on.
Long-6 added pace to the attack, couple of half chances.

I liked how he was always a handy body in defence when we were under pressure, and I liked how he was one of our biggest attacking threats in the second half, but in the middle of the park he really lacks drive. He could learn a thing or two from Bikey picking it up and really ramming it down their throats. Also a bit stand-offish - like Harper, more of a shepherd than a tackler.Armadillo Roadkill Cise 7- Impressive. A few games to develop, and again, he could establish himself. And no ANC.
