REFWATCH: v Luton Town (H) - Tue 26/08/08 20:00

by T.R.O.L.I. » 20 Aug 2008 16:46

For our first home cup game of the season we have been allocated:

Referee: D WHITESTONE
Assistants: E I Smith and O Saliy
Fourth Official: M J Foley

This season: 3 yellow cars and 0 red cards from 2 games
Last season: 93 yellow cards and 10 red cards from 31 games

No real information avaiable for him as he appears to have been a lower league (i.e. League 2 / Conference) official for most of his career. I will have a more of a dig around tomorrow but I doubt I'll find much.

No profile available on the Football League website.

Previous RFC games:

None.

Exactly - and it might turn out that he is not a "crap ref". Just becasue he hasn't refereed at the PL or CCC level, it doesn't mean that he can't cope.

Agreed - and it's not like we take the competition seriously. Fair play to the bloke - it's probably the biggest stadium he's officiated at in his career so far.

T.R.O.L.I. Just because he hasn't refereed at the PL or CCC level, it doesn't mean that he can't cope.

Or maybe it does...

He wasn't really good. Failed to stamp down on persistent Luton fouling and I couldn't believe it when he booked Noel for a foul that Luton have been doing all evening which he had let off. Finally booked a Luton player when Stephen Hunt took an exception to his kicking.

Otherwise, I don't really have much complaints about his performance.
