Silver Fox Apart from to try to recoup the few grand you've just lost?

I wouldn't put it on, but some people might, if some opinions on here are taken as gospel.

Thaumagurist*
Ian Royal
Thaumagurist* 1 point behind Birmingham now, and we're due to play them next. If we win that one and move up into 2nd, will Schards admit that we've progressed?

No. He's waiting for the end of the season remember?

But surely some progress will have happened before that? When we're promoted 2 or 3 weeks before the end of the season, is Schards still going to say no progress until the actual end of season?

Actually, that wouldn't be progress since we were promoted on March 25th last time - this time it would be late in April.

Now that we're half way through the season, I thought it might be inyeresting to see if Schards' opinion of the team and it's future has changed since his early analysis.

Doubt we will see Schards on here today (too upset after backing Reading to lose as is his usual position) but expect Fag Ash Lil will be on to defend him soon.

Half way through the season and I am very happy, If surprised with our progress, we have, again, bought intelligently replacements, Armstrong, £500,00 ur 'avin a larf !! has made most people say Nicky who ?? and Noel Hunt has breezed in 11 goals and is proving to be equally, with a different style, than Kitson, Sonko was never going to be missed, crapped on his own doorstep and will pay the price !! We look solid, have stopped leeking the goals we were at the start of the season and any player that comes in put his stamp on a match to stay in the side. Lets hope it long continues, January will be interesting S Hunt if he goes would be replaceable, Doyle I just get the feeling he wants to at least see the season out, if he did go that would be a different proposition, but I would add caution to players who fancy a jump to the top league, Sidwell apart they are doing an awful lot of bench warming...............

Before the game I'd have said you were mad to have us for a 3-0 win. If NHunt had stayed on without concussion I think you'd have seen exactly that. We'd have put them away much earlier and they'd have given up.

That is a beauty.

Reading's form away to the top teams was excellent. 3-0 at Wolves, 4-1 at Brizzle and 2-0 at Sheff Utd so, despite the recent unimpressive displays, it was worth an optimistic punt at big odds.

Not sure where to put this - this seems best place to put it; from bbc live premier text today:

That is such a clear penalty, it's almost two. Morten Gamst Pedersen takes the ball past Ibrahima Sonko and is almost split in two by the defender. Benni McCarthy slots in the spot-kick to give Sam Allardyce the perfect start.

What - Sonko giving away a penalty? No way!? :D
