Thank the stars above the season is going to start. We have had a long wait to right the wrongs and yeah I fancy a home win for this one...

3-1 to the Royals please.

0-0. we'll be tight at the back, play decent football in midfield but have no cutting edge.

0-2.

We'll find it hard against a team that battles. It'll be Christmas before we start to get into a rythm. In between now and then, we'll get some great wins, mixed with very poor results. A good run in the second half of the season may propel us into the playoffs, but our squad have a lot to learn.

Reading 1-0 Forest

We won't play well. However HRK will pull a goal out of nowhere in the 84th minute...probably. :|

Reading 1-2 Forest

We will lack cutting edge and the killer creativity, but will still end up putting one away from a moment of Kebe magic amongst loads of piss poor play from him (late on). Masking that we need a reliable player in that position.

Forest will score one either side of half time. One of which will come from a corner as our weak set piece defence continues.

There will be positives, but it will take 5 -10 games to start finding our rhythm.

Reading 0 Forest 2

Lack of any creativity, same problem as last season and no attempts to right that problem, the youngsters will play well, bags of effort and energy, anyone who has any idea about yesterdays game can see easilly how we will be undone by corners, crosses and free kicks............cant defend those properly when your 'keeper does'nt come off his goal line, Fed good shot stopping yesterday but loooked very suspect at the basics.

 It's the first game of the season, we've just come off the back of a terrific pre-season and we've still got those pessimistic oxf*rd on here predicting a loss.

Going for a 3-0, i now have a confidence of us getting a few clean sheets which as you will all remember, i never had during USA's reign between the sticks

I'll go for 2-0 as well. Far too many pessimists here.

Hopefully, Davies will score at least one of those.

Predicting a win doesn't make you a better supporter. It's about what you think the result will be, not what you want it to be.

Anyone thinking we're going to get off to a flying start has unrealistic expectations which are only going to get disappointed. We've had a good pre-season. But we're still short in some areas and we're going to be relying heavily on youngsters and a new system. It's going to take a while to really bed in.

We've got a good chance of winning, that's all.

Dunno why Tom never had confidence in Hahnemann keeping cleansheets. He managed plenty iirc.
