Plymouth_Royal are you kidding me royalee! the mistake was from the muppet playing a poor backpass, not fed

The clue is in the name "goal"keeper, oddly not "40 yards away from the part of the pitch I'm meant to defending"keeper.

So he's supposed to just watch the pass to him and make no effort to try and beat the opposition player to it, go one on one and have no chance anyway?

A keeper SHOULD be on the edge of his area when there is a corner at the other end, not standing on his line.

Cummings pretty much caught Thomas up, had Federici been in the right place he might have stopped it. As it was the Uber Penis missed the ball and we conceded. If your going to come you have to reach it.

I do see why he needs to be on the edge of his area, but not why he needs to be on the half way line.

To try and pick up the back pass you uber mong. He can't stand and watch and hope that a defender catches enough. No way he can make that decision. Even if he does he's caught in no man's land on the edge of his box and an easy chip for Moore way before Cummings/Bertrand can get close.

You really are an idiot.

The reason he missed the back pass was because he had to try and run about 20 yards to get to it.

Its quite annoying when people post about other games on the Reading match thread.

If someone doesn't want to know the scores of other games, to make MOTD more interesting.

Other scores should go in General Football.

Still 1-0

In a vain attempt at added a bit of optimism on here, we would all have taken 1-1 at half time before the game started. Admittedly we're going to fall to pieces second half but make hay while the sun shines

Need to be 3-0 up at HT to have a strong chance of winning. 1-1 just guarantees we'll lose.

Remind me how many games we've drawn this season having scored?

I'd have taken 1-1 at half time. However bad we are at home our ability to match the best away is an encouragement. If we turn around our home form we could sneak towards the play-offs. I'm still expecting to lose today mind you....

FiNeRaIn Mcanuff is a cock, two sitters in two away games he's missed which could cost us - now he does a backpass which we conceded from. Piece of s**t, get him out.

I don't think McAnuff was anywhere near the incident. It was a WBA long clearance from our corner, don't think any Reading players got near it. No back pass.

Either way, we shouldn't have conceeded like that. I wasn't particularly blaming Federici, but if you are going to come for the ball as the last man, you HAVE to reach, no question.

Just heard the commentary on the 107 highlights and it was a back pass that Federici could never get to. Sounds like the blame is with both the player who did the awful pass and Fed for making the mistake of coming to get a ball he was never going to reach.

West Brom can hardly be considered the best given their recent form. We were lucky against Preston too. Our inability to match the shitest or mediocre suggests to me we'll be relegated.

He wasn't near it, except for the atrocious back pass he made. Unless you're saying the commentators are just making things up.

Ian Royal Oh FFS.

Howard keeps his place despite doing nothing at all yet and The Sig is ignored some more.
O'Dea binned when he's consistently been our best defender (bar two stupid mistakes)
No real reason for dropping Church for Hunt.

Yet more shit changes when we want some fricking consistency.

oxf*rd off Rodgers you cock.

Sorry Ian usually I agree with you but if he makes the attacker work for the goal something could go in our favor, if he rushes 40 yards out he offers the oppo an open goal.

Guess it's just opinion, but the keeper made the oppo's job easier for them.

All very good with hindsight. He has a fraction of a second to make the decision and is always going to initially be trying to get their first, quite rightly so.
