Very very harsh. Check his goal-scoring record out. If you don't you can be sure Snowball will.

He's always liked MaccyD's - now he's using a different sense - hearing as opposed to taste.

His minutes-on-pitch to goal ratios have always been fair.

Now we're finally seeing a long awaited side of his game - the ability to carry it through 90mins.

I thought it'd never happen.

So far so good.

WELL DONE LONG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :D :D :D :D :D :D :D

So will I . Shane has had a lot of flak on here but he deserves a good run in the side now something which has rarely happened. His goals are proving priceless at the minute.

About bloody time! Showed what he might be capable of last season.

Piled on the pounds over the summer and looked very chunky early season, no wonder he had an ankle problem. Couldn't take the strain.

Needs to sustain his performances for the rest of the season to be anything more than another flash in the pan. But Shane, I apologise, your better than I've given you credit for and might just make a first choice striker yet.

He seems to like playing with Howard - and Howard seems to like playing with Long in the team.

Agreed. We need them both starting now they're both playing together.
When Sig comes back we can pull Howard into the centre alongside Karacan/Cisse/Gunnarsson.

Lost weight, and working hard. He's reaping the rewards from all that extra training. He's starting to look like a proper striker now, holding off defenders, actually keeping hold of the ball when played to feet, and winning alot of headers. If he can sustain this level of performance, there is no reason why he can't make double figures this season.

Shane now has the best scoring rate at the club.

He was on that sort of hit-rate last season too, when he bagged his 9

Same number of goals as Church on half as many starts this season

Still rubbish. Shit touch that tempted the defender into a tackle for the first goal and obviously the penalty was all HRK's work. Apart from that he just missed chances and was generally crap.

But in all seriousness he looks a lot better than he did even a month ago. Weight loss FTW.

Fair play to him. I think this was his final season to impress and if he didn't then he will be out the door on his arse.

But he seems to be a new player under Maccy D and 'Long' may it continue...

God, that pun was awful...
