Fantastic news! I really feel the club are back heading in the right direction and doing things the Reading way after a blip. I don't post on here often anymore, but looking back at the thread from Jan, it's quality not quantity:

"Very pleased with this. Even if he doesn't work out, he's a right back who knows what to do in that position and we can move away from square pegs and round holes. If he comes in and does a job it will be a great signing. As long as we haven't signed him to play up front of course..."

Can't believe how badly his loan signing was received by some, when it was a clear sign of the back-to-basics, common-sense things to come in the early days of BMcD. Well done all concerned.

The amount of time this was seemingly taking was making me doubt that we would sign him, but I'm really chuffed that it's now sorted. Just hope Zurab can follow suit now.

Griffin you legend. What a reception he will get on the opening day of the season.

Just need Zurab in there now.

LOL @ him having the exact same expression on his face in every picture.

Not sure if anyone's mentioned this yet, but it would be really good if we could get Zurab next.

East End Lady This is brill although I am a little concerned that on the OS he is quoted as saying it's nicer to be boo'd than cheered!!

watched the video interview and he said that he would rather be cheered... OS in making mistakes Shocker

Judging by the pictures on the OS, he has been given squad number 2. He really is filling Murty's boots.

Argue with this muthalickas:

Griffin signing is excellent news. Also happy with him taking on captain or vice-captain duties. I think the fans have really played their part in ensuring this one happened with the response to his performances.

Welcome to the club as a permanent player Griff.

Great great signing. I can't count how many times he just made a superb tackle or pass - just too many examples. Class act.

But will he get to keep that gorgeous ride of his?
