Presumably you've been trying to set up a meeting with our shadowy new owners? Any success on this yet?

Sort of. We had a long-ish meeting with Jack (who is the main UK-based point man for the owners) a few months back (as mentioned on the STAR website at the time) and we've been in other meetings where Jack has been present and contributed to the discussion.

We're hoping to meet with Sasima at the start of next season. One of our number exchanged brief pleasantries with Narin before a game. The three owners don't spend that much time in the UK and our mutual language skills might not be at optimum levels so it's probable that Jack's going to be our main man.

In our last edition of our newsletter Reading Matter we provided members with a two page feature on what we knew about the owners.

Anybody with STAR membership able to speak Thai at all ? Might make communication easier and help put Sasima more at ease although I know she speaks reasonably good English.

Imagine how that might go..... some random STAR member offers to translate and instead goes off on one moaning to the Thai's about the quality of pies, the car parks and money.

Why do you ask, floyd?

Do you have a question for Sasima? Or just want to pass on your regards?

Who is this Jack character and what's his involvement?

STAR have confessed that when it comes to Reading FC they know Jack, which may not come as a surprise to some.

Taweesuk Srisumrid is his name. But helpfully he is known as Jack. He is a Director of Reading FC Ltd in terms of involvement.

BUMP

Are you able to shed any light on the money laundering rumours STAR?

No, sorry. Other than to repeat what we've already published in Reading Matter re Samrit. That is he is not an investor in or a director of RFC Ltd but plays some informal occasional advisory role to the consortium. This does seem to contradict some of what is recently reported in the Thai press but we suspect that was based on old, unchecked information.

FWIW we believe Police United were relegated from the Thai Premier League at the end of the most recent season.
