Hi Tim!

Glad to see you read the board and played down the Mills moment today, saying we should just put it to bed or whatever it was you said.

I like you, even if some don't.

i listened to a lot of the game on berks today, and i must say Dellor was much improved compared to the last time i listened.

I still prefer Keith 'talc on the darts' Dellor

For someone so crap, a lot of you still obviously listen to him :?

It's not as if you haven't got a choice now is it?

Thought he was OK today... didn't bang on about Mills, didn't digress too much.

What is the alternative though?

....and the radio station that dropped all live coverage of the Royals until we became good (the 106 year)

At least we have a choice.

TBF to R107, they were following the corporate guidelines of their owners at the time, Guardian Media Group, who wanted them to focus on being a music station. When SJM purchased the majority holding back they took an interest in us (and being local) again.

and all hail to SJM.

However, (and yes I am pro-BBCB) why have folk on here got so much to say about Dellor, when (if they feel that strongly) they don't even need to be listening to him?

Because sometimes a little voiced criticism is a chance for Dellor to improve his skills and talent as a journalist and radio commentator/host - which I hope is more productive for the greater good.

Depends where you live - I won't dredge up the BRMB figures for audience reach again but suffice to say that the catchment area of BBCRB is far greater than that of R107.

Dellor's posh stuck up voice and irritating sense of humour is why 107 gets my ears now. I like Gooding, so it's a shame.

Mr A making a brilliant (especially the "referee assessor" bit) call to the "after game phone-in" is just one of the reasons that BBCB retain mine

According to 2-0, you're not allowed to mention that it was Mr A who called up - despite Mr A himself not seeming to mind - or you get PMs and everything telling you you shouldn't be doing it and not to "give names away" LOL.
