Next seasons kit choice?

by moo » 22 Mar 2011 05:32

Having a browse around today and found out Wrexham, who are also Puma, can choose their next kit out of four possible designs. So seeing as bloody Wrexham can do this, surely Puma give us at least four designs as well. I wonder how we can get the club to let us fans have some kind of say in our kit, so we can have a semi-decent choice for once????

Don't really care, I'll still be parting with the best of half a century to get my hands on the latest replica kit :P

But it's not a real choice, it's a choice from just 4.

And it's highly unlikely that anyone kit will win a clear majority of over 50%, so what you end up with is a "first choice" that more people voted against than voted for.

One sleeve from one design, the other sleeve from another, the back from a third design and the front from the final design.....

It wouldn't be difficult to reach a consensus amongst Reading fans about shirt design (proper hoops, no back panel, no bib or other silly touches) and if a design like that were offered it would scoop more than 50% of votes in a four way poll.

Unless it were hijacked by Swindon fans

Trouble is, once we arrive at "the perfect kit" there'll be nowhere to go except changing sponsor logos or collars. Shirt sales would dry up - which is why we'll never get a proper shirt (again?).

I doubt that, tbh. There's never ever a consensus on anything - and theless importnat things, like shirts, music etc are the worst of all.

I don't ask for too much, just please give us a home shirt with hoops that go all the way around and no back panel.

If I could be a little greedy I'd love a return to white shorts and white socks.

PS. This would be fecking amazing:

Nike > Puma

Are you able to buy that hooped france shirt but without france on it? i.e. plain?

I may even buy it with it on if need be. I like that shirt!

To prove Dirk's point, that shirt is fricking grim and I wouldn't pick it up if you paid me £50.

It might *might* be better if the colours were reversed so the white bits were blue and the blue bits white... Obviously the blue needs to be another much brighter shade as well, but I'm assuming we all think that.

And from a marketing point of view that'd be a disaster as no females would wear it.

Any female worried about their weight (i.e. all of them) would never wear a top with thin horizontal stripes.
