To get the last train back you'll have to leave about 15 mins into the 2nd half!

For those thinking of driving and parking at Sussex University, it might not be that easy. Although it is not term time, they only allow home season-ticket holders to park there.

http://www.sussex.ac.uk/falmerstadium/affect
Most pertinent parts:-
The contract also specifies that University of Sussex car parks can be used only by fans displaying a pass to prove that they have pre-booked parking. These are season-ticket holders or corporate guests only.
Car parking on campus and the movement of football fans to and from the stadium is being managed to ensure that the campus remains safe and secure for staff, students and visitors. This is why - in particular – parking is entirely at the south end of campus and is for BHAFC season-ticket holders only, and not for away fans.

I emailed the suggested address to check the situation, as other parts of their website are a bit ambiguous, basically the response from the Transport Manager was as follows:-
The car parks on our campus are allocated to the Amex Stadium for parking on match days for which they charge £15.00 per car to home supporters.
There is no parking on campus for away supporters please contact the Amex stadium direct for information on parking for away supporters.

So, looks like park and ride or public transport...

robbieroyal Def going its only 20mins from my front door!!

Ditto. In fact you're probably the chap I saw on the Worthing train coming back from Millwall?

Slightly disappointed that there are so few points categories for this one. 1500 points needed on Thursday and then drops all the way down to 500. Having 1300 points, I'm now concerned may miss out on the 'big one'.

I'd be surprised if it didn't sell out given the lure of a new ground (and decent beer!).

HA HA Yeah it was, good man!

If you leave the game early you might get the 21 57 which gets back to Reading at 00 39. More likely you'll catch the 22 28 (back at 1 43) or the 22 55 (back at 2 29) or the 23 16 (back at 4 30). If you want to get back to Wokingham before 4 30 the next morning, you'll have to catch the 21 57 which, given the queues to get onto Falmer station, means leaving half way through the second half.

Just go back to London and get a train to Twyford (they run all night) and cab it from there to Wokkers.

Anyway there's a lot of scaremongering going on on this thread, a casual look at users locations or in some cases username (Hi Norfolk Royal :!: ) indic8s a fair number of fans aren't travelling back to Berkshire - which is where the train problem lies not in getting back from Brighton itself.

Don't wish to scaremonger anyone, but given the train/car situation maybe a few of us could get together and hire a boat?

Can't take too long to sail round the coastline and back up the Thames?

Royal Prince I'm saying no.

It is a new ground, it is relatively close, and we are playing well but...

...It's a Tuesday bloody night and it's sandwiched between West Ham & Southampton which are both a day trippers paradise!

3K tickets for Wham sold in very short order to high Points holders would suggest a lot of "daytrippers" won't have got tickets, so you can breathe easily. :|

How were the Donny/Barnsley/Peterboro trips for you?
