Match ticket prices 2012/13

Standard match ticket prices:
Lower west, east, north and south stands:
Adults £32, 16 & under £15, concessions (65 & overs and 17-21s) £23

Upper west stand:
Adults £35, 16 & under £20, concessions (65 & overs and 17-21s) £25

Gold match ticket prices*:
Lower west, east, north and south stands:
Adults £40, 16 & under £20, concessions (65 & overs and 17-21s) £30

Upper west stand:
Adults £45, 16 & under £25, concessions (65 & overs and 17-21s) £35

*List of gold matches to be published once the 2012/13 Barclays Premier League fixture list is published.

Match ticket prices are advance prices for non-Members. Prices increase by up to £2 for non-Members in advance and by £5 on matchdays.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I guess that was predictable to be fair and its not as bad as it could be. Still a big hit in the wallet, especially if you decide to buy on a matchday.

As a STH it doesn't affect me but imagine if Man Utd at home went all the way and people could buy on the day - if you wanted one adult ticket in the upper west for the game it costs you £50.00. Ooft.

Don't have a ST so this applies for me.

I'll end up in the South Stand.

I think the club have done themselves with the early bird promotion.

+1, and now trying to rectify their mistake with the massive prices...

I was thinking that too. It's a little risky. We know we can sell-out every week in the Premier League, but we are not a club with a huge fan base (yet), and I can see games against the Fulham's and Wigan's etc being more 22,500's now than 24,100's.

I think it's a mistake. We'll see.

As I wrote in another thread- it gives us a possible figure for next season dependant on success. It will be interesting to see the price bands for the away matches. Chelsea was the most expensive at £46 if I recall correctly.

Makes me even happier to have a season ticket.

But at the end of the day.. Away games > Home games.

Probably won't be going to many next season then, £40 a ticket for the big games is sadly going to price me out.

As if Wigan would bring 2000 anyway.

So 21,000 or so then. A big risk I feel, especially when the club plan to expand to 30,000 in 12 months if we stay up. At those prices there will be 7000 empty seats for the lesser games. We shall see.

I don't think that looks like much of a hike from the last time we were in the prem - wasn't it something like £48 for Utd back then for non-member on the day tickets? Season tickets were still available at very decen prices up until a few weeks ago when it was reasonably certain we were going up so folks can hardly complain* about the entirely predictable hike in ticket prices.

*yes, yes, I know they will anyway.

IIRC match day prices were £32 and advance purchases were £27-28?

This thread is suggesting advance purchase will be £40 for the big games.

There were 3 levels of ticket prices last time around. It may have been around £32 for the likes of Wigan (doubt it was much lower as my season ticket back then was more than £540!) but it was a lot more for Utd.

Depends whether you only want to watch the 'big' games then really, doesn't it? As Coppell always used to say, they're fairly irrelevant to our season.

Can someone explain why they need to hike the ticket prices at all, surely we've got a £100m windfall so we can all get in for free!

Because it's not £100 million - that's the potential earnings through tv, money, prize money, parachute payments and potential increased revenue from being a premier league club having increased ticket, merchandise, hospitality sales etc.

And besides, all that will go on players wages anyway...

Though of course next year you might not be able to as tickets for many of the away games will sell out to season ticket holders
