I actually quite like the twitter updates, a lot of useful information! If people don't like then surely they don't have to follow them?

royalhaven I am still puzzled by the use of the :| emoticon to express it. I guess I probably should seek the true meaning of the "neutral" emoticon elsewhere.

P, a question... you often post a simple :| in reply to others posts - what exactly are you trying to express with your :| ? To me it means neutral (as its name suggests) but I take it you mean to imply something more unsatisfactory, no?

What he means is the website look and the ticketing system are slightly different.

HTH :|

That does help actually...but I am still puzzled by the use of the :| emoticon to express it. I guess I probably should seek the true meaning of the "neutral" emoticon elsewhere.

:|

the names assigned to emoticons are often superceded by the way they actually look

:| looks like a small yellow man who has just heard something daft, and he is frowning at its silliness
:? is called confused, but looks like a small yellow man who has said something silly and hopes no one has spotted it,
:x is clearly a small yellow man having a rage oxf*rd, despite it being called "mad"
oxf*rd knows what this dick is supposed to be

OMG...

Looks like some web designer has demonstrated the new site by using every single different scrolling/switching/flickering action going...and then the Club have just gone live with it! :o

Typical 'modern' design...loads of boxes all different sizes thrown all over the screen, all different colours...mostly dark backgrounds..making it quite difficult to scan read...but hey..."I'm sure users will get used to it!!!" *quote from the Club via STAR

Just glad I'm not epileptic ...

Stuff flashing and bouncing all over the screen - more like a baaaaad A-Level project.

I still get the old site on Chrome, new site on IE though. Worth noting for the next 'which browser' thread.

Either it's not up yet or I've had the new one for years.

Are all those boxes fluid so they float to fit any size device?

e.g. if you browse the site on a mobile it's no different you just get everything in one column etc...

Not a bad way to design a site these days TBH - make it customisable with add / remove different boxes from the home page and could be something I could get used to...

Lack of margins makes it a bit "whoa" as it stands.

Edit: doesn't look like they are - missed a trick there.

New one has appeared for me but it's a mess, can't navigate it at all and the pages don't seem to load.

I saw the new one last night, but can't get it this morning. Have they reverted back to the old one because of problems? I went to it from a link on FB saying "here's the full squad numbers", but when I got to the new site I couldn't see the squad numbers ANYWHERE! In fact, the player profile page didn't have any of the new players in it but still had old players that left this summer, and all the numbers were as last year.

Bring a new web site on line and you would expect it to have all the latest information.

the players profiles, squad numbers are not updated on the day the squad numbers were announced.

Even worse for users who don't enable Javascript or Images (accessibility and speed main reasons for doing that). Absolute mess of a site, although I'm presuming it's been forced on us as Plymouth had similar a few weeks ago.
