It shouldn't be done purely on season ticket holders.

Why not both season ticket holders or people who have attended x amount of away games? Gives both sets of people a fair chance.

I guess by doing it the way they have, allows those that have committed to going to games this year the opportunity to get tickets ahead of somebody who may have more points than them but hasn't been to a game for maybe two years. In that case the season ticket holders should get priority. Obviously its not going to keep everyone happy. They'll always be someone who feels hard done by.

ST holders should always get first priority, they're the ones who put up the money up-front at the start of the season. I have sympathy with those who didn't get a ticket, it's clearly a match we could have sold 2,000+.

Out of interest LWJ, 2,500 ST holders from last season didn't renew. Were you one of those and if so why? Quite a few I know didn't renew because of the standard of football and the general lack of connection with modern day RFC.

I haven't had a season ticket for 7 years. I don't particularly enjoy home games but average 15 away games a season.

Actaully LWJ doesn't currently spend any money with RFC but still thinks he's entitled to a Brentford ticket ahead of people that do.

HAVE THEY STOPPED DOING AWAY SEASON TICKETS? IF SO, I WONDER WHY AND IF NOT, WHY DON'T YOU BUY ONE LWJ.

Exactly, why do people think there's even the slightest chance of RFC rewarding customers who don't actually spend any money on services/goods they provide. No business in the world does that.

And the club (to my knowledge) doesn't get any of the proceeds of an away ticket. Why should they reward you when they make no money out of you going to away games?

I would expect that the club don't care as much about away ticket allocation as much as people on here think they should. It doesn't affect them commercially and it's only in the really high demand games (2-3 per season) that they even have to think about it. We're simply not a well followed enough club for them to have to give any great thought to their policy on this.

Away season tickets are still running for those that have previously had them but Reading are not accepting any new applicants for them. HTH

Season ticket holders first obviously....I can't believe anyone would even try and argue they shouldn't.

Yeah, sorry lwj but you're not winning this one. Those who commit to following the club up front at home should always get first dibs on away tickets. You reap what you sow and all that. And its5not as if you didn't know is it?

As you know I'm 1 of the 2500 that haven't renewed, for me the 1st time in 25 years. but I don't see a fairer system than STH first.

That said, RFC doesn't care for your past loyalty, only the £ that you put in today. It's a business and it long since being a 'club'. Maybe that's why so many long term supporters have chosen not to renew their ST. Where's the fun in giving up so much of your time and money supporting a corporate brand that exists solely for the benefit of super rich foreign owners?

I've managed to secure a ticket, but I'm not going to lose too much sleep if I miss out in future. If I was really desperate to attend every game I would have renewed.

Perhaps if they had retained the club feeling they would have retained more fans. And less blue seats like on sunday. Quite simply they are not selling many seats either due to price or and lack of connection. Which is a shame

Or we're simply not in a hardcore area for football support and now the success has tailed off a little so has the attendance. They'll be back again if things pick up, apart from fLOLoyd who will be being dragged around B&Q looking at wallpaper patterns for the rest of eternity.

Do you buy a lot of merchandise then? Because everything you've said on this thread suggests you don't spend any money with the club as far as tickets are concerned

Hospitality mate. Don't sit anywhere else for home games. Pretty sure 6/7 games a season there covers a season ticket.

When someone says 6/7 you tend to find they actually mean 1 or 2.
