Royal Lady I always get tanked up before getting there and rarely drink at the stadium.

Royal Lady Friend who went to the England game on Friday said there was no alcohol on sale within Wembley Stadium. No prior notification either - not sure why, but worth noting, just in case - though in my case, I always get tanked up before getting there and rarely drink at the stadium.

IMO - your best bet is to avoid the pubs around Wembley or the popular stop off points. Go and drink somewhere nice, then get the tube up to Wembley a bit later.

Wetherspoon's right opposite. Cheaper booze, (probably) less Gooners.

It's only been the UEFA rule for AGES - no alcohol. Same with Champions League games.

There's a decent pub around the corner from Marylebone station that is quite popular for England games.

Can then just jump on the train to the stadium.

I don't think they are laying the red carpet out for us!

OP from a thread on Arsenal forum

FA Cup Semi - Drinking Venue - The Globe Baker Street
by nut flush gooner on Wed Mar 25, 2015 2:55 pm

In before that twat decides to post about his rip off party for £15 quid. Fry up at the Volunteer then beers at the Globe from midday.

Who is up for it, lets make sure those once a year Reading twats don't get off the train at Paddington and try to take our lucky pub!!!!

Got any recommendations?

I'll be sure to avoid them etc etc...

Pubs for Wembley

by Royals-lad14 » 07 Apr 2015 18:54

Where is everyone planning to drink before wembley? Would think most pubs will be taken by gooners, so does anyone know of any pub certainties for us royals? The only one I've heard from our fans is 'The Torch'.

Probably worth checking the 'pubs for Wembley' thread

Useful recommendation if anyone wants a few beers without it being too packed as everyone turns right out of the station (and they even hand around free sandwiches and roast potato's).

Flannery's bar. Turn left out of Wembley central station and walk about 3/5 minutes and it's on the opposite side of the road. Also a decent place to walk back to for a beer to let the crowds getting home die down.

Do you have to wear a blazer to get in?
