I did say there are 2 weeks to sell more !

Just putting a bit of realism to counter the apparent ecstasy from some that we have sold 2500 tickets. Leeds would take that to a Tuesday game in Plymouth. With a midday kick off.
If we take 4000 in the end that will be ok. Nothing startling though really.

Just lol that taking what to most teams would be a fairly normal away following constitutes a 'buzz' !
Some people just have laughably low expectations.
What odds Charlton bring more than that to us, and Brighton.
But let's see what the final number is. If we sell another 1500 then Bobby can enjoy his 'big day out' in London .....

Not sure if I'm due a whoosh here and you're on the wind up, if so please ignore below.

You should know as well as anyone that our average away following is small, even lower than some league one teams and 1 or 2 league two teams. It's a bit sad that we get excited at taking a 2k+ following anywhere but it's Reading and it's the way it is, and comparatively is big for us.

Yeah, we won't get too carried away, eh. And I'm sure we're all fully aware of what our support is about in comparison to some of the so called bigger clubs. Still a little encouragement here and there doesn't hurt. A fact that Nick Blackman would no doubt agree with

I shall spend the next fortnight camped at the ticket office to applaud each and every one who buys a Fulham ticket !

Whoa, whoa, whoa they're Reading fans
Better believe they sometimes buy away tickets, but only for fairly local games

:D

I am bowled over by the immense levels of support and can only join my fellow Club Policies contributors in bowing down to acknowledge the efforts being made by thousands to make the long and difficult journey (involving at least one change of train) to watch our glorious team play in the far distant reaches of West London. I hear some people are having their breakfast slightly early in order to get there on time. May you be blessed with a goal or two to reward you.

Good stuff. The club needs more people like you. See you at Rotherham. :D

Of course you do. Suppose you'll be "busy" for Hull and Preston in December too

Not sure of your point here !
In what way is my availability for random games related to whether taking 2500 to Fulham is worth some kind of FIFA award ?

Larry_Parnell If I remember correctly......the neutral area is only pay at the gate, there are no tickets in advance and it is more expensive (£30 I think last year). They don't care where you're from so you don't need any id etc. It's a throwback from when Fulham were in the prem but couldn't fill their ground and was to entice visitors to London who wanted to see a premiership game.

It's actually because there is no way they can safely segregate the area between the turnstiles and back of the stand.

i am sure they could safely segregate the area, they just don't want to have to pay the amount that would be needed to do said job

Just one set of turnstiles that leads to the "concourse" which is basically under the stand. Given the other end of the stand is practically in the river, this leaves just one way in and out. There is physically no room to safely segregate.

Doesn't the stand back directly on to the park ?
I wonder why they have not put turnstiles in that wall ? Clearly there is a good reason, but it would give them a lot more flexibility and remove the funnelling if there was an entrance there.

Doubt anyone will bother going to Hull now it's on the telly.

I'm still fairly tempted to go....only an hour away from me and Wednesday is an easier night for me work wise.......BUT I could just watch it in the warm, away from thousands of angry Yorkshireman!

One of my pleasures in life is pointing out to people from Hull that they are not Yorkshiremen, but Humbersiders.

Not entirely sure if that is still correct, but it gets spectacular results....
