Oh come on. Cutaways to clips of half-empty stands.....the rapping.... all that is missing are the FOAM HANDS.

It is cringeworthy. Fans across the country are laughing at us, and with some justification.

If she wants to turn her money into promotion she can stand in the centre circle and sing Humpty Dumpty every game for all I care.

Failing that, maybe get the Russian back and we can watch t.a.t.u. Videos of 'all the things she says' at half time on the big screen whilst fighting relegation.

I haven't had an erection like the one I'm currently sporting since they played it that one time before the 1st game of the season and no one took a blind bit of notice.

"We're fighting butterflies tonight". More like butterflies in our cocks!!! Amirite lads?!?

Makes ya prayd!

If ever there was an own goal to be embarrassed about this is it. Which is a real shame, they are obviously trying really hard but clearly are not in touch yet with English football culture.
That said, they are shrewd and clever business people, clearly seen with the current setup of our team . If we do win promotion, we are not lumbered with any over paid under performers. We can clearly see who is worth bidding for if we want to and who is not, hence can build effectively for the Premiership. Future looks good... just lose that video ! :D

From Despair To Where? I think the club have found a back door into Europe. It's Stockholm for Eurovision next year isn't it?

Well having heard a few real dogs of football related "pop songs" over the years, I have to say that's not too shabby, not too shabby at all!

Only put off by having the Pog and Mackie feature really. Won't catch on here, but don't forget it's aimed at the SE Asia market - where it will go down a storm.

As someone else said - the young lady gyrating is easy on the eye too. Is it sexist to say that these days? Don't give a flying. She IS easy on the eye! Eurovision is sown up next year!

The rap is godawful. But I like the chorus, 'Can you hear, when we shoooout Come On! Like the Kings of our land, they call us the Royals. Let us sing, every man, we stand by the Royaaals.' That is class.

But some wtf lines that show this is written by someone who studied English as a second language:
It started when all the odds defied us. (Wait, the odds defied us or we defied the odds?)
We smell a victory today. (feel would have been better than smell)

Then the rap part, ugh:
How we like the smell of fame? (what is it with smell again? What does fame smell like? Like victory?)
It doesn't matter if we learn or win? (Wait, what?)
Unstoppably we burn within. (I could have written a better rap than this crap)
Getting ready to shed our sweat (Jeezy christ on a bike. More bodily functions?)
Our blood is blue our wings are white (So a cross between a vulcan and Angel from X-Men?)

Um, I think this thread started out with us all joking that we loved the song, but now it seems that some people actually do. :?

To anyone who has commented that even a millisecond of this song is good and is being serious; hang your head in shame.

Oh no! West Ham fans are laughing at us, I don't think I can go on knowing the Mockney Essex boys don't like our song.

Oh well, guess I'll have to have to take solace from the signings of Paul McShane, Stephen Quinn, Ola John, Lucas Piazon, Matej Vydra and Orlando Sa.

I really do feel for the fans who are worried about what other sets of supporters think of us, life must really be a teoubling experience for you.

At the end of the day, the owners have invested a lot of money in assembling a squad that is competing again. If we have to put up with the odd harmless song here and there, then who gives a oxf*rd? At least we now have a set of owners who actually care about the club.

Not much point analysing it as if it was a serious piece of art ! It's a light hearted bit of nonsense and Eurovision is about the right comparison.
But the fact that our 70 year old crazy chairperson put it together does kind of bring a tear to the eye. Salina sure has embraced the club in a big way, let's indulge her and sing along (metaphorically). I'll live with this if she keeps giving us the likes of McShane, Vydra, Sa, Quinn etc etc etc
