OMA, I like you but why do you feel the need to hurl vitriol at people who say anything against you?

In regards to your minute by minute posting in this thread heckling club 1871. I assume by your lack of words you're feeling quite silly.

No. It's a terrible idea and will not be there next season I'm just not stupid enough to turn down free alcohol.

Believe you also said something along the lines of 'it wont last another 5 games' about four months ago. And that you feared for C1871's safety in the home gae against Millwall, so your credibility isn't high.

I enjoyed the game on Saturday sat in Club1817. The numbers and result certainly helped.

The numbers will increase in the South Stand as with all stands when results/performances improve. There really is no need for any negativity towards the initiative as we all want the same thing, and that is a better atmosphere inside the ground. @DolanStand works with their supporters to improve the noise at that end of the ground, @Club1871 do their bit of their end, and Y25/Y26 do theirs as well. This is win-win for all. The Wigan game showed what a positive change all are having and it's pleasing to hear Nigel Howe has thrown his backing behind the South Stand initiative continuing next season!

It's a shame the Leeds game is on the telly box, as numbers will be down throughout the ground tomorrow as a result, but it's still pleasing to see the progress being made by all throughout the ground.

It was a final throw of the dice.

There's so far nearly 500 going into be in there tonight, without free beer. So, if it was a final throw of the dice, looks like it worked.

Not true. The rest of the ground filled up very quickly for this one so people had no choice but to sit in the south. Lets see how it is against Preston without a free beer offer. If it is anywhere near 500 I will concede.

That's not true, Plenty seats available in Upper West and North, so it's not because people have nowhere else to go. If it's being seen as a good alternative to East, when East is full, then it's definitely not the failure you would like it to be.

Bring a mate tonight is probably more significant. One of the things I think is good about the unreserved seating in South Stand is it makes it easy to organise a group of friends to sit together for one -off games, when only some of them have Season tickets.

What we have with South Stand is the closest equivalent to old-style terracing that you can get in a stadium like the Madejski.
It's not for me, as a lot of matches I attend on my own, so like the "comfort" of knowing who is going to be around me.
But I genuinely cannot see why people hate it so much. Especially since a lot of those people, in other respects, would spend a lot of time moaning about how football isn't like it used to be.
