3points Just saw this. Say what you want about RFC but our club and owner give the fans a really good deal to encourage us to support the club and attend the games. Ridiculous pricing Really for National League football. Though gate receipts are much more important the lower down the leagues you go.

I think those top prices are more than Norwich's top prices for premier league football.

Are we sure £380 isn't to buy the stadium?

£575. Who the hell will pay that? We are very lucky though with our pricing which is terrific.

King's LOLynn

Thing is we can laugh and point, or call them greedy pcunts, but it does show that football is somewhat broken commercially.

How much are players earning at that level? Quite a lot I'm sure.

Maybe so but surely like everything there must be a ceiling price? To increase revenue you cant just charge silly money there comes a tipping point where people just say no. And 575 for a season ticket st kings LOLynn must be a good example of that?

There's probably a core of fanatics that will pay a ludicrous amount and at a club like King Lynn that will actually make up a big slice of their committed fanbase.

At the level they play they aren't going to attract a great many more fans regularly no matter how cheap they go.

So they may as well gouge the fanatics they do have because they'll get more income by charging them an extra £200+ over getting and 100 regulars at the cheaper price..

Or something along those lines.

Picking up from the other Season Ticket thread, Portsmouth have introduced what they call a Flexi-Season Ticket

Basically it is available to all last season’s Season Ticket holders for a price of £25 and, from what I can make out, it allows a supporters current seat to be retained (no I dont know how that will work under social distancing either) and entitles the ST holder to attend games for an additional fee per match and allows the club to rotate ST holders should the need arise due to capacity restrictions (current capacity at Fratton is 19,670)

https://www.portsmouth.co.uk/sport/foot ... gn-2938327

Whether Reading do something similar I guess will depend on the number of ST holders last season and whatever the final allowed capacity of the Mad Stad is set at. My guess is many people may not renew esp. if there is a good deal with ifollow

Normal STs are not expected to be available until season 21/22

Soit’s Kind of a membership scheme. You pay a fee which allows you to buy tickets for some future games, possibly not all of them, possibly not ones you chose.
I guess from a club perspective it generates revenue before people can actually buy tickets and doesn’t commit the club to a certain number of games. Presumably it’s non refundable so if fans aren’t allowed back all season the club keeps the money ?
Will be interesting to see where ticket prices are pitched. If they stay the same as last year this would be a £1/game increase over a full season.
It doesn’t seem unreasonable for clubs to be looking for ways to replace lost income.

Friend of my son's is a West Ham STH. He reckons he's been asked to pay full price for a ST and will be given a pro-rata refund for each game he can't get to because of social distancing - but the refund is by way of vouchers to spend in the club shop! He's not the sort to wear replica shirts or club regalia, so he's not too chuffed.

Yeah, I don't think that's quite true.

https://whufc.freshdesk.com/support/solutions/articles/31000157023-what-happens-if-i-cannot-attend-a-game-due-to-covid-19-social-distancing-measures-

For every match we’re unable to welcome you to London Stadium, due to COVID-19 social distancing measures, we will automatically refund the pro-rata value of the match to the pay holder’s card or account within 30 days of the game taking place. Any supporter paying via V12 Finance will also be credited back, subject to their finance payments being up to date.

Thanks, Hendo, I had a feeling it wasn't quite what I'd been told.

In fairness we're talking about a West Ham fan here so he's probably barely literate. Can't blame him for not being able to read the policy.

Still a bit crap of a PL club, give us hundreds of quid now, that you may not have. We know you're going to miss games but we'll keep the money for that for a month so we can get the interest payment first. So if yo miss every game you'll only get all your money back next June, when we ask you to do the same thing again.

Man City's approach seems more sensible.

Season ticket news has been released and while it may seem a bit convoluted, I think this is brilliant by the club

Sounds good, probably the most logical approach. Guess for many though it may come down to what “hoops” everyone has to jump through and how much of the matchday experience will be lost as a result.

How long is the ban on away supporters? Is that season long or will they be allowed back in this season?

There is no set date on that but I can imagine it being the entire season, unless things dramatically improve - why would you want to encourage people to travel the length and breadth of the country needlessly.

Having said that, with the current government, it'll probably be OK'd by November.

That seems great, although I assume the non-refundable retainer would actually become refundable if we're never allowed full capacity?

Can we get tickets for Saturday yet? EFL have just announced club are allowed 1000 in attendance this weekend

I think it would either be refundable at the end of the season, or they'll knock it off of the ticket next season.

I guess so

The whole thing is one in the eye for the "the people at the club don't know what they're doing" brigade
