Received my new ST this morning, together with the 150 years presentation pack.My wife laughed and started taking the piss.I was inclined to agree with her and moaned about how much the pack must have cost the Club.I said I would have preferred a discount in the Megastore(which use to accompany the ST).
However thinking about it,that would not really have been suitable, would it;given the occasion the pack was celebrating.Equally matched against the millions we are in debt;the cost to the Club in producing the pack, probably doesn’t come into much beyond £30k ?Or one week of Moore’s wages ?

Millions in debt ?

The pack may not have cost the club anything to produce.
I think it’s a nice gesture to mark a significant event. They have used people with RFC connections to produce it and may have not had to pay for their services.
A megastore discount would still have cost money.

You've put way more effort into responding to that post than the poster deserved. Fairplay.

The club has loads of money - its just how they choose to spend it.

Might well have been 'donated' by the owners. I assume the merchant bankers at the EFL haven't clobbered us under FFP for the value of the free away travel and mince pies + mulled wine at Christmas?!

Not sure, club have always said it is a limited run and the first ones who bought their season tickets would get them. You might be too late now.

Not got mine yet, hopefully tomorrow! After seeing them on twitter, they do look really nice.

EDIT - I now see I have a parcel down at my concierge, which I assume is the STs :D Will collect when there is no thread of monsoon. The clouds in SE16 are currently blue.

Yep got two packs in the post for Jnr and I. Nicely presented. A pleasant way to commemorate 150 years.

Whether the club has any money or not is questionable, what is certain is the owner has plenty. We’re not in debt in any meaningful way but we’re clobbered by the ‘sustainability’ rules being badly drawn up.
Whatever the situation a nice little memento to the genuine fans is a nice gesture....

Yeah. There hasn't been too much to praise the club for of late, but this was above and beyond expectations.
