Print at Home Tickets

by John Smith » 17 Mar 2022 12:18

What an antiquated system - even non-league teams allow you to scan from your phone.

The signs saying mobile ticketing coming soon at the turnstiles have been there all season. Does anyone have any further info as to how soon this will be?

You can show your phone at Maidenhead but you can’t scan it at the turnstiles. You go through an unsecured entrance which would hardly be sensible at a proper ground.
The numbers using print at home tickets must be tiny anyway. Much simpler to just load onto a member card.

Did have a massive delay at the turnstiles, especially at the Coventry match, when I finally reached the front, a lady hadn't read the folding instructions and was literally trying to ram her A4 piece of paper into the ticket reader.

If you had tickets on your phone you’d have a massive delay if a stupid person thought the way to use it was to put it though thegapwhere you used to pass your money over....

You're not a real fan if you don't have a season ticket.

At Atlanta United in MLS, all tickets, including season tickets are held on your phone. They can then also easily be sent/transferred to others. The software is obviously smart enough to only allow each ticket to be used once! The only failings are likely to be human e.g. once inside the stadium, if you want to get into the supporters section rather than your actual seat, you can usually do so by holding your finger/thumb over the relevant detail and walking past the stewards when they're busy!
