Lager prices

by swansea jack » 12 Aug 2006 20:09

Had a few bevvies today but does anyone know the exact prices of the drinks in the hotel...?

Paid £10.90 for 2 x fosters, 1 x Guinness and half a Coke in the upstairs bar.

We were then moved downstairs when 3 x Fosters and half a Coke cost £12.40 and were told that a Fosters cost £3.50 meaning that the Coke cost £1.90.

I know Urzzzz are now in the Prem and the prices have gone up but that is taking le pi$$!!

Guinness was also £3.50 in the jazz cafe, or it would have been had it been working.

They've also managed to allow the TV projector nearest the bar develop a new fault for the new season, by having it adjusted so the picture is too small and hopelessly out of focus.

I was surprised at the 3.50 a pint in the hotel but I assumed it must have just been that before and id forgotten

Btw is there any reason its always cheaper upstairs than downstairs?

IIRC the upstairs bar is run by the catering concession whereas downstairs charges "hotel" prices.

It was horrendously out of focus before.

£2.90 in the concourse for a pint of warm Fosters - lovely. £3.20 for a glass of wine that tastes like someone pee'd in it. I'm not drinking it again. (Unless Finch buys me one)

Served in plastic cups because the dishwasher had broken down - we got there at half 12 and asked for pint glass and were given one after promising to re-use it. Job done 8)

Why drink for a home game? I'll usually drink for an away if im not driving, but home games seem a waste. Just go out AFTER the game. Or am I missing something?
