Happy with your S/T seat??

by Seal » 21 Aug 2006 12:38

Buying 3 season tickets together limited our options as to where we could sit in the ground. We have ended up in the East Stand, Y26 row D very close the away end.

Before the game we were a little unsure as to what these seats would be like, and there are definite pluses and minuses to them…

The major pluses are:

- Great atmosphere
- Brilliant when we score as can really give it to the away fans
- You feel really close to the action
- No moaning idiots around

The minuses are:

- View not great – lose perspective when the action is down the other end of the pitch
- A nightmare when the away team scores

Overall I’m pretty happy. I could of asked to be in a better place in the ground at 2-2 and 3-2, but I’m well aware that there will be times this season when I will probably get sick of the away fans mocking us if we’re getting a bit of a tonking.

How is everyone else finding their seats?

D row? You might get wet at some games when it's raining.

Alas I fear that may well be the case...another minus point then!

I think you're quite lucky being in Y26. The noise is the best part, very noisy, rowdy, lots of banter, even when the away team scores. I feel fully involved there.

I've been in y26 since the Mad Stad opened so I can't compare it to anywhere else. But for atmosphere it is the best and apart from one or two plastics I wouldn't change my seat.

All the seats are made of plastic. No point in changing based upon that reason.

Well so far I haven't found out much about what people think about their seats...but have managed to generate the poorest selection of wisecracks I've seen for quite some time!

Be happy with that Seal, it's usually the result of most posts on here.....

I've had my seat for some time now and for what it's worth, I like it. Would prefer it in blue though.

Absolutely delighted with it. Back in Y25 and 3/4's up!

I'm row v. Pretty good there. But I think the upper part is where the chant-starters are, must be good up there.

6 seats from the away dugout, front row :)

Yes, we get wet, but it's great watching the coaching staff getting so worked up. Boro's assistant coach was almost blood red for most of the 2nd half!

We moved from B13 row D to B13 row CC, fantastic!, don't get wet anymore and the view of whole pitch outweighs being close to the action down by the corner flag. I always enjoy watching football from an end rather than a side, so it's great that the North Stand is getting such good atmosphere these days.

Same seat for past 5 or 6 or maybe more seasons, brilliant view and get the best of the action - Y25 right near the back.

Same seat that I first sat in 8 years ago today.

G5 Row J - on the same level as the concourse so far enough back to give a decent perspective and keep dry, but close enough to the front to see the action really well. Love it.

Y26 since it opened so can't compare but love it when we take the mick out of away fans. People say it is the best part of the ground for atmosphere and when you look around it seems to be the case.

Row d you will get wet cause I get wet in P
