RFC Football Keyrings & Door Numbers!

by Forbury Lion » 21 Nov 2006 15:43

Anyone know if these are available in the Megastore?

Or is this another example of the club being beaten to a great idea by a third party?

Probably - you notice the total absence of the badge, which is the one thing RFC could take legal acton against.

Not sure how successful they would be in taking legal action against someone trading from China!

This ones in the UK...

The Premiership's a big bandwagon - and you can even get magnetic badges for the side of it...

I've had a 'shirt' keyring for a couple of years that came from the shop.

I got a pair of the magnetic door badges (IIRC I paid @£18 inc delivery) in time for all of the celebrations at the end of last season.

Had them stuck on my Royal Blue car when we raced back from the town centre parade to the Mad Stad ahead of the open top buses. A lot of people seemed to think we were an official club car!

Whoever is in charge of merchandising should be shot for missing out on good sales opportunities such as these.

Are you referring to Boyd? If so, he wasn't personally responsible for choice of merchandise in the Megastore. If they've also fired the Merchandising Manager then his successor is pretty p*ss poor too.

They are missing out on sooo many opportunities. If they can't work them out for themselves then at least take their lead from the street traders and those flogging stuff on ebay.

Simple really. I will slate them when the limit of their imigination is to come up with yet another lame excuse for changing the kit design every year, particularly when both the design and quality of that kit is poor. I will also slate them for coming up with unimaginative, poorly designed, overpriced merchandise of shoddy quality.

When someone comes up with a good range of imaginative, well designed, high quality merchandise at a reasonable price, I will and do buy it.

However, much as the official sources will try to claim differently, I tend to find that the people who produce the latter type of merchandise are Hob Nobbers, street traders and those selling stuff on ebay! The official stuff tends to be in a different, lower, league.

Register a request on ebay!

I'm sure one of their resident entrepreneurs will pretty quickly come up with the goods.

I might have to pop in the Megastore sometime, Sadly as a footy bus user there isn't enough time before kick off to queue up and take a look.
