Well in that case the finger in your avatar should be pointing the other way.

Really? I can count the home games I have missed since 98. In fact, I can account for the very few home games I have missed since I started watching the club in 94.

Murts is well thought of and always will be. I don't need to throw more money away just to prove it.

Burton and Forest come before this and a glamour friendly with Chelsea.

Sorry Jay, saying goodbye and thanks to M-U-R-T-Y >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> watching our new signings  avoid getting injured by Chelsea.

EDIT: or are you saying you WON'T be going to see Chelsea?

Ah, but I'm Mr Sensible with my pennies now. I'd prefer to go to Burton and Forest.

(I didn't say I was going to Chelsea - you couldn't pay me to go to that game)

In. As the money is going to charity i have no issues coughing up a few more pennies for this match as well as giving Murts the thankyou he deserves after his career with RFC.

No.

Friendlies are a waste of time and testimonials even more so. They are just so fooking boring.

In any case, I give enough money to charity over the course of a year as it stands.

We will be attending the Testimurtyal. We want to give a big send-off to one of the club's great servants and the captain of our greatestest ever team - besides, it comes out of last season's budget  . I'm just hoping we see a signing or two this week, which might just bolster the crowd a bit - we don't want it too much like how it was when he first joined, do we?

Picked up my tickets today, hoping the net for former players will be widenedd to include some of Graham's early team-mates. I'm talking Evers, Brayson and Saar please

Yes.

Proceeds going to a good cause.
A chance to thank Murty for his years of service to the club.
A chance to say goodbye to Doyle and Hahnemann.
A first glimpse (for me) of the Reading team under Brendan's influence.

All good reasons to go.

Fair enough - i don't usually do any friendlies either, but I regard this one almost as an obligation to Murts for all he's done for us. It's not about going expecting a competitive match or a high standard of football....
