Oh well, glad that's over with.
Hope someone knocks Argentina out, I don't like them.

Did I miss the memo and that was the final? Because the Argentina squad are acting like they've won it

I think they think that the Semi-Final is a formality

Yet, possibly, it could be a repeat of France v Croatia
I think the Argentina v Croatia game is 50-50
France, if they beat England, should be favourites in the semi whoever it is

France v England is 50/50. Don't rule out Portugal.

Everybody acts like France are the second coming of Brazil 1970

Don't think they are actually as great as Everybody says

How does this World Cup measure up against previous tournaments? There have been plenty of shocks but don’t think we have seen a game that can be considered as an out and out classic yet.

seriously?

I went into the tournament deciding that I would deliberately hate it (for all of the pre-discussed elsewhere reasons), but in reality…(and I still have no real faith in Engerland) ..I am enjoying driving home in winter listening to the 3pm kick-offs and arriving home for the penalty deciders

A nice distraction in the winter months…but I am not a fan of all of that electricity being burnt off during a ‘climate emergency’ on air-conditioning open spaces in the name of sport…the deaths involved in making it happen and the wastage that there will be when it’s all over……but the football has (mainly) been enjoyable

It’s been better than I thought it would be. Going to be very strange watching a Championship game tomorrow. It needs a classic game though. We haven’t had that yet.

I think the World Cup has been very good to be fair but I can't ignore several negatives:

The whole corruption of Qatar winning the bid
Qatar's record on human rights, particularly of migrant workers
Qatar's stance on the LGTBQ community
Interrupting the Club season
Now some weird crossover with the club season
Messed up schedule to to WInter World Cup.
