Hendo
Zip I’ve never really understood the drinking culture surrounding football. It’s never interested me. It’s all about the game for me. That’s what I look forward to along with going with my son and mixing with the various ST holders who I have gotten to know over the years.

What happened on Sunday was thuggish, embarrassing and all part of a sense of entitlement that some people seem to have these days.

Agree. I like to have a pint or 2 before the game, but that is usually about it.

Said to Lady Hendo on Sunday that I didn't want to have loads to drink because it might end up being a day I want to remember for the rest of my life and if I have too much, I will just forget it.

Oh fcuk off, Víctor Mature.

What a oxf*rd helmet

I never knew there was such thing as a "jibber", which is basically somebody who breaks into games

jibbing just means wangling something for free / getting away with not paying for something. Its a way of adding some kind of bantz name to a negative thing so it feels more acceptable to those doing it

I've seen a few interviews from people justifying their actions at the weekend. They are always overloaded with "I" and "Me". "I had a great time and regret nothing". "England playing at home was too big an opportunity for me to miss out on".

A complete lack of consideration for how their behaviour affects others. The fact that there is now a headline on the Sun basically calling him a oxf*rd probably doesn't bother him.

It certainly paints things in a slightly less negative light than 'thief'

We were the first ever holders - beat Scotland 4-2 in the second ever international match (drew the first 0-0). We also won it from West Germany in the 1966 World Cup final, but lost it the following April to Scotland at Wembley, losing a friendly 3-2.

South Korea briefly held the title. Romania had carried it into the 1994 World Cup, but lost a group game to Switzerland, who themselves lost a group game to Colombia. The Colombians then lost their first post World Cup friendly to South Korea.

England briefly won it again in 2000, when we beat Germany at the European Championships, before losing it to Romania in our following group game.

One of the most obscure holders are probably Angola. The title went to Africa thanks to Ireland, who had beaten holders Czech Republic, only to lose a friendly to Nigeria. The title got 'stuck' in Africa until Romania won it back a year later.

England are an impressive team these days. That’s a thumping win. Great for the Hungarians to see their team blown away. Nothing more than they deserve for their scummy chanting and booing.

There is no doubt a scummy element to England’s support.
