Would like to see a few changes tonight in the midfield/attack area, something like:

Pickford

James
Stones
Mings
Shaw

Rice
Bellingham
Grealish

Sancho
Kane
Foden

Would also look to get Henderson and Maguire on for a bit of match fitness, obviously depending on situations within the game

Foden seems to work better on the left and is where he’s played so well for City this season so would look to give him a go there as it hasn’t quite happened for him yet on the right. However, can see Rashford starting tonight over Sancho/Foden and possibly even Sterling again

Would like Mount and Chilwell to be given a free role to run towards Czech players who will run away from them

More than anything, England need to beat a top team in the knockout stages to get confidence and break our inability to really threaten a tournament.

Confirmed that Chilwell and Mount have to isolate up to and including Monday 28 June.

Complete and utter bullshit. PHE make it up as they go along and the country sits back and lets them.

This 100%. The core of this young team will be around for a decade. The national mindset is still that we will lose the moment we meet a good team in the knockouts, and that could start to stick with this team. A victory against Portugal or Germany in the last 16 would change this, even if we then lose to a team like Belgium or Italy in the last 8.

Yep. Whilst beating a team like Wales, Sweden, Austria in the second round to then lose to one of the big boys in the last 8 or 4 does absolutely nothing for us except prolong our involvement in a tournament we can't win and reinforce the sake old problems for future ones.

So they have to isolate because they hugged Gilmour but there is a phot of Dykes hugging Gilmour and, as far as we know, he doesn't have to, bizarre.

Or is there more to it with the England players?

Steve Clarke is the best example. More or less kissing Gilmour at the end of the game with a lingering hug. He doesn't have to isolate. What about all the players in a hot and sweaty changing room with him? Laughable from both PHE and the FA who are seemingly not putting up a fight against it.

The rules are 15mins of close contact and Chilwell and Mount apparently had a 30minute conversation with Gilmour in the tunnel. If so fair enough.

I'm bemused why none of the Scottish squad were close enough in the dressing room for 15 mins. The weasel words were "no close contacts have been identified in the squad" so ignorance is bliss.

I don’t get what Rice offers. Agree about Sancho and Grealish starting. Southgate has to be bolder. England need to win tonight. Finishing second in the group is likely to offer up a tougher route from the last eight and loss of playing at Wembley.

The dressing rooms would be socially distanced I would guess.

Given there was footage of Scottish players mixing at the hotel and playing table tennis etc, I am very surprised that one or two aren't considered contacts.

Not a massive deal them missing the game tonight and if they win, then both will be available for the game on the 29th. If England finish 2nd, can't see them being available given the game would be in Copenhagen.

If the end up 3rd it all depends on how the 3rd place losers get allocated but the game could also be Tuesday.

I really rate Rice for West Ham. Main strengths are blocking off the passing lanes and he’s also a good engine in midfield, able to get up and down the pitch well

Agreed that for England, he doesn’t shine as much for West Ham. Problem being, is that in most England games, it’s up to us to force the initiative, we have a lot of possession and trying to force the issue isn’t one of Rice’s strengths, isn’t the best at passing the ball. Did make similar comments at the start of the Euros, that perhaps Rice isn’t quite as integral to the team against weaker opponents and that personally I’d start Henderson if fit. Think we’d see his strengths more if we got to the latter stages and played against the likes of France, Germany etc where perhaps there’s a greater emphasis on a midfielder in his mould. Do think if he was to join Chelsea, he wouldn’t quite be as good as people think though

Sancho has always flattered to deceive in an England shirt but he probably deserves a shot - will be big pressure on him if he does though given the reaction to his omission so far

Don’t you see it for the complete and utter joke it all is, these guys will have zero symptoms and are tested twice a week yet some plank decides that you can’t play so and so because they were with player x for n minutes while the whole of the rest of the Scotland squad are given the all clear.

Would they have done same if it was a must win game?

The thing is nobody up high puts up a fight against it. Where is Southgate? Why is he not calling it out for the joke that it is? The FA just go along with it too. Us normo's can be up in arms all we want to, the people in charge need to make a stand.

Thought that players shared rooms, surely Gilmour's roommate has to isolate? Or does that no longer happen these days?

I think under bio-secure bubble rules, each player has their own room.
