WC 2014 Match 11 - Argentina V Bosnia-Herzogovina

Great BBC piece on Begovic pre-ko. I'd love to see B-H get a result here.

The Maracana looks spectacular. Pumped for this one.

I say go with the locals' preferred BiH.

Not a great start for the debutants :(

Blimey I only walked away for a couple of minutes and I missed a goal.

Struggling with Dzeko upfront by himself. Look decent otherwise. Expect them to finish 2nd.

Not getting enough bodies attacking the box so they have to check back every time and give Argentina a chance to get their defence in place. Nearly got one from that corner though. They can could play the ball out for their full backs earlier to try and get going a bit quicker and find an easier ball in behind. But in general they're playing well and look very tidy.

Watched up until 55 mins of this last night - fair fukks to Bosnia for putting in such a spirited and disciplined performance in the 1st half.

Not seen Messi's goal yet, heard it's a cracker

I'm not hearing lots of people being critical of Messi as they were Rooney despite another very average performance in the World Cup from him.

I didn't watch the whole game but all of his first 4 or 5 contributions resulting in giving the ball away and a pretty naff and needless foul.

Nice goal though, which obviously deflects a bit of the criticism, but considering Rooney's contribution to setting up Sturridge for our goal I'd say their performances were both below our expectations with Messi's being even more off the pace than Rooney's.

There is literally only one striker in the whole of Bosnia.

Fortunately the squad isn't limited to people in Bosnia.

Just seen Messi's goal - if that had been scored by pretty much any other player then there's no way it'd have been as bigged up as it has been. Good goal, but I was expeciting Maradona Mk II based on Vamos on BBC Radio 2 this morning's description of it

I was expecting a bit more too. But if I'd bothered watching past halftime I'd have been as over excited based on how rubbish the first half was.

His first half performance got plenty of criticism. Though for all that at least he was actively involved in the game, if trying to do too much and losing it. But he scored.

Although it looked to me like it was going wide until the slight deflection took it back onto the post and in.

Really impressed with B-H. Very tidy stuff. Shame I didn't stay up long enough to see their goal.

Great showing from B-H, can easily see them sneaking through now.
