Unless he put the bet on after saving their penalty I'd guess not.

SutekhMr Optimist On the Scotland rivalry thing, the same thing applies in Wales. I have lived in North Wales for over 20 years now and my wife is from North Wales. The Celts stick together and love and revel in their underdog status.
It is built in to their DNA to want England to do badly in any sport, most Scots will now support Wales in the remainder of the tournament as a fellow Celtic home nation. The hatred is well balanced with chips on both shoulders.
My wife will not cheer for England but really wanted Scotland to win last night. It is just the way it goes, and part of the irrational make up of rivalries.
Some Welsh people hate the Scots more than the English - World Cup qualifying games for 78 and 86 being the reason.

Absolutely this. Personally I don't particularly care how England do. Was pleased to get behind them in the WC and Southgate had them playing some nice stuff (though where that nice stuff has gone now I think is up for discussion). But mention Scotland and anyone over 50 and Welsh who is passionate about football becomes bitter and twisted. Absolutely can't stand them......last night was wonderful for so many reasons.
I would also add that being from the South part of Wales, the middle lot hate everyone who isn't from their bit. The northern lot I always think are more like Scousers....think everyone who isn't from their part of the world owes them big time, and talk with a big chip on their shoulder.

An under 12's side could have scored 5 against Slovakia this evening.
Spain are and always will be a dull footballing side.

Stranded So barring a shock late comeback, the Spain result puts Ukraine through.
Finland need a 4 goal defeat for Portugal.

Stranded Looks like the Dutch face the Czechs.
England's side of the draw looks decent. 2nd round could be the toughest game, whoever wins the England v Group F2 game will fancy their chances.
QF would be Sweden or a 3rd place side likely Switzerland or Ukraine. Semi would then be 1 of NL, Czech, Wales or Denmark.
