Turkey cement their position as the worst dark horses of all time.

To get to the finals and then into the last 16 is impressive. Most experts I heard said they’d not go through.

Although Tbf they were lucked out not having to play the footballing leviathan Scotland.

Well done Wales. Put in the best performances of the Home nations so far IMO.

We did ok after Ampadu’s sending off but it was all about damage limitation. In the end a 1-0 defeat is no disaster and we will go into the last 16 with our preferred starting line up. Joe Rodon was immense.

Think it's the first time I've said it isn't it?

To think some idiots around here actually tipped them to win it! Clueless.

NathStPaul This happens every tournament, it is normally Croatia that get a lot of hype built up around them for no reason but this time it is Turkey. Turkey will do absolutely nothing of note, might sneak one of the 3rd place qualifying slots if they are lucky. Only a complete and utter fool would back them.

to get a top 2 place in the group?

Italy and Switzerland are nailed on to get 1st and 2nd.

I’d like to see Joe Allen at CDM. Drop Morrell and bring in David Brooks.

I didn't watch the whole game but did see Joe Allen getting passed around several times

mostly when trying to attack the ball when defending

Haven’t been impressed with either Allen or Morrell so far - certainly your weakest position IMO

Congratulations to Wales and they have a good chance of progressing against whoever they play next.

Fully agreed. Both struggled today and against the Swiss. Morrell was terrible today.

A good player 3/4 years ago. Not really up to it now.

Ref rant again; OK the sending off decision was probably 50/50:but for the ref to consistently overlook yellow cards for a litany of Italian fouls, was very evident.

Rodon was easily our best player. Thank god we have him at the back.
Italy look the most impressive team I've seen at this tournament. Even heir second 11 look like they had a extra gear if they needed it. Good team performance defensively, but really needless sending off meant we had to work extra hard and I wish Joe Allen would stop giving needless free kicks away.

Thought it was similar to the France game where we had 10 men and defended pretty well, and created to odd clear chance.......Bales miss was one to forget.

NathStPaul When is the earliest England can play Wales? We could do with an easy game in the last 16.

Yeh your man that kept fouling Bale should definitely have been booked.
