Hendo No Ramos and no Real Madrid players in the Spain squad

Also, HRK misses out on the Wales squad.

Bit surprised by HRK missing out, he looked sharp the other week against Liverpool. Wales are hardly blessed with attacking options.

For someone who'd had an extended absence from the Wales squad - to then breach squad protocols on the fixture set before the Euros was pretty damn stupid. Probably played somewhat of a part in the decision

Oh did he? Wasn't aware of that. Makes perfect sense to exclude him in that case.

The options such as they are would be the likes of Kieffer Moore, Rabbi Matondo and Tyler Roberts although Bale could perhaps also play there as we have Brooks, Dan James and Harry Wilson providing the width.

I don’t think HRK could expect to be involved having decided at an early age to retire from international football. It looks a bit opportunistic that he makes himself available once Wales qualified.

Strange player - extremely frustrating and rather limited - but always a good shout to grab 7/8 goals a season. Always got the impression he thought he was better than what he was - but only an impression. Certainly lived off his Belgium goal for a while!

I know Stoke fans were a bit indifferent on Matondo - didn't start well there but grew into it towards the end. Looks like he has the raw potential so will be interesting to see how he ends up. Not sure about the fuss of Wilson, two relatively underwhelming loan spells at Bournemouth and Cardiff - although he does have a mean set piece

Three of them - but Roberts and Matondo are at least fairly young and inexperienced - more of an excuse for them. At the age of 32, this was probably Kanu's last chance of a major competition

HRK is an odd one. He played well for Wales. Put himself about. Won free kicks. Good work ethic. Scored a few including that Belgium goal yet under-achieved with us.
I have to say I don’t rate Matondo. Loads of pace and that’s it. I hope he proves me wrong. I quite like Harry Wilson. He needs to settle down somewhere as constantly going out on loans isn’t helping his development.

Just out of interest how many games did you have tickets for?

They're only taking 24 players as well.

Only 1. I must be lucky. But logically, I'd expect a lot of people who stayed in to be successful. Overseas fans would probably have withdrawn, plus any fans who felt unsafe. I thought it was 50/50.

Yep refund come through this morning, financial loss on the tickets because of the exchange rate. Personally not getting my hopes up.

Would not be at all surprised if they gave people who have lost tickets first dibs, but just whack an extra fiver on.

Just booked ourselves a table for 6 at Lagoona Park for the Croatia game. Jumbo screen with Ady Williams and Brian McDermott down there doing some kind of post match chat.

It's coming home!!

I'd like to promise this will be my last gripe on this topic, but I don't think I can do it! I also lost out on exchange rate. And charged a lot for cost of foreign transaction fees.

I'd forget all this if I ended up with tickets but like you I won't get my hopes up.

Good result and performance from a COVID stretched Scotland team last night, hoping we'll cover ourselves in relative goodness (glory might be a bit much) when the tournament starts

Having listened to a few European pundits on podcasts I have been surprised at how much they have talked up Turkey. Basically said this is their best team in 20 years and they are playing well. Aside from Soyuncu, Calhanoglu & Yilmaz I can't claim to know much about anyone else.

If they come 2nd in their group behind Italy then they could face Denmark in the R16 too which is good for them
