Snowflake Royal Unlike you pair of clowns, some of us have self control.

Come off of it Ian. Firstly we didn't insult you, secondly it's not about self control. It's the premier football competition in the world. We will all watch it and I can guarantee you will aswell.

Did you boycott Russia? They have various human rights breaches ane corruption.

Come on guys, let's settle down. Its lovely weather outside.

Ian, it wasn't a dig at you personally, I just can't see anyone missing out on a World Cup. You could find reasons to boycott any previous World Cup if you looked hard enough. We all know Qatar is a morally bankrupt and backwards thinking place but it's not worth missing England for. You only get so many World Cup's in your lifetime and its an opportunity to forget politics and enjoy the sport.

Human rights abuses and controversies at previous world cups.Deaths, bribes, homophobic behaviour, dangerously bad conditions etc

If Ian is worried about corruption, he’d probably want to avoid most (if not all) top level professional sport.

Hell, he'll definately want to avoid the Premier league and anything on sky sports then. Probably any team that has a player that has used an agent to transfer. Probably any team with an owner from a kinda foreign dodgy country.

I'm tempted to boycott purely down to Gareth Southgate. Let's have this totally right: the bloke has had two of the best squads at his disposal for the last three years and refuses to play the best players, the best players for their particular position or the best formation. We then are given the two easiest routes to a final in the history of major competitions and fluff them. Twice.

You know we actually reached the final this time, right ?

Who would you suggest takes the job ?
Then who would you suggest takes the job that will actually take the job ?

We also couldn't beat Scotland, we needed extra time to beat a mediocre Denmark and then couldn't get the job done against a team with a combined age of 70 at CB despite having some of the most talented forwards in world football. He is a clueless tactician. The evidence is plentiful and damning for Southgate who, if he had an ounce of dignity, would walk and if the FA had an ounce of balls about them, would send him packing.

There's plenty of better alternatives who can take the job - Steven Gerrard would do a better job having been a winner as a player and a manager. Or someone who has been to 6 tournaments as an England player and also been a successful manager against all odds like Sol Campbell.

Maybe they've gone about it the wrong way, but I think the reasonable question posed is, why boycott just this one?
