Hoop Blah Losing Fabinho for 6 weeks, and a very busy 6 weeks at that, will be a bit of a test for Liverpool. Henderson, Wijnaldum and Milner can all play that role, and I believe Lallana has been doing it this season too, so they have options who can cover him, but not as well as he's done the job for the last 12 months.

It might test that back for a little more without his extra defensive cover.

IIRC they’ve got a pretty straighforward run in coming up so it’s not the end of the world for them. It’s a big chance for Keita, Shaqiri and Lallana to stand up now if they can avoid the injury table

You know that Leicester are second, right ?
Why not list their fixtures ?
And if Leicester win on Boxing Day there could be only 5 points in it

Interesting, because that's exactly how Leicester won the title in 2016 - as no-one saw them as title contenders.

Will you see them as title contenders if they win the next 4 ?

FFC, why so aggressive?

I know you hate Liverpool. But separately, why so aggressive?

Don't hate Liverpool and don't see anything aggressive in my quote, but there you go.

Indeed. Amazon struck lucky with their game week, some crackers.

Mane's two assists sublime.

I liked the lobbed goal - very well taken - and the fifth went from defensive header to goal in, I think, 10 touches.

Yeah, I'd agree with that.

Looking at their XI from last night, I wouldn't quite call it a reserve XI.

13 Adrián - only playing because Alisson was suspended.
66 Alexander-Arnold - First XI
6 Lovren - Reserve XI for sure!
4 van Dijk - First XI
26 Robertson - First XI
5 Wijnaldum - First XI
7 Milner - Maybe not a starter but certainly in the First team squad
23 Shaqiri - Maybe not a starter but certainly in the First team squad
20 Lallana - Maybe not a starter but certainly in the First team squad
10 Mané - First XI
27 Origi - Not a starter but certainly in the First team squad

Possibly yeah but it was Shaqiri's first league start, Lallana's second etc so whilst they are part of the first team squad, they very much sit on the fringes

I think Lovren is actually a very good defender, think he gets too much stick personally and he played a delicious pass for Origi yesterday. Him and Lallana were criticized quite a bit last night, they've just won 5-2 against their rivals FFS

Liverpool’s remaining fixtures this year are

PL - Bournemouth (a)
CL - Red Bull Salzburg (a)
PL - Watford (h)
LC - Aston Villa (a) (academy/reserve side expected)
World Club thing (poss 2 games there I believe)
PL - Leicester (a)
PL - Wolves (h)

Would suggest Villa are looking forward to their game with them while Leicester will be delighted that Liverpool are playing in some meaningless games in Qatar hoping they can take full benefit from a game that is always difficult these days anyway

Mind you it does help when VAR gets ignored at Anfield. TTA shouldn't have been on the pitch and Van Dyke strike on the back of Deane's head seem to have been ignored.
Some "top clubs" really need to look at themselves this season, the fact a team literally has the title won by Christmas suggests the EPL has turned into the SPL. The two Manchester clubs with their resource and money should be ashamed of themselves......

I was waiting for the 'team I don't like should have finished with 9 players' line.
VAR isn't used for yellow cards, which TAA would have got (a second) if the referee had deemed his handball deliberate. No idea what you're talking about on Van Dijk and (Mike) Dean? but whilst Everton should have had a penalty for his foul, that wouldn't have been a red card either.

Liverpool apparently close to signing Takumi Minimino from RB Salzburg, who enhanced is already growing reputation against them in the CL. Bayern also chasing him. But mostly posted this just to note that at 5ft 8ins, he is indeed Minimino.
