Snowflake Royal Give me a good midfield workhorse over a show pony every day of the week.

They can be both and the same e.g., Grealish and Maddison.

No score update from Brobot? Heading back to the top 4, a couple of weeks off might allow them to recharge their batteries (or drink lots of coffee or something I guess?)

I was just looking at the table and there's every chance you can get top 4.

You can get a max of 73 but it really requires other teams i.e. Chelsea to drop points

It's also equally likely that you could finish 10th

Two games with Fabinho back in midfield, two clean sheets and two wins - I don’t think it’s a coincidence

Nope, there's a few of us that have been quoting the destruction of both defence and midfield - and I'm not even a fan

Reminds me of United in 97/98 when they dropped a 12 point lead to Arsenal. Keane missed most of the season after doing his ACL at Leeds. Scholes, Giggs, Irwin all missed 10+ games at a crucial part of the season and a lot of points were dropped

Mbappe all but secured by the sound of it. We're going to dominate for the decade. Probably get to 14 Champions League wins before Real Madrid. 8)

Did you actually read beyond the headline because that's not what it said.

He's buying a 10% stake in FSG specifically, not Liverpool so whilst there is potentially a point in the future where they could go after a signing like Mbappe, its not on the cards at present. It talks more about creating a Red Bull style group of clubs. There's even a link in the article to another article saying Liverpool's interest in Mbappe has cooled and they're now looking at Sancho as a more realistic signing.

Sergio Ramos out for a month misses Liverpool games. We're basically through to the Semis now.

Two points behind Chelsea and an easy tie in the CL. One way or another CL football is well and truly on the cards now. 8)

Behave ... an easy tie in the Champions League but still need to beat one of Bayern, PSG or Man City to win the thing.
4th place is Liverpool's realistic chance

PSG, Man City and even Bayern are beatable in a one off final. Real Madrid aren't going to give us any trouble without Ramos and beating Chelsea or Porto is almost a formality.

We are basically in the final already.

Real Madrid have lost once since 1st December. There's nothing easy about this tie.

Didn’t know that
But they are without both first choice centre backs - both teams that is

I think because Atletico are top there is a notion that Real and Barca are having poor seasons. They certainly had poor starts, but Real have had one defeat since 1st December and Barca are unbeaten since 5th of the same month (winning 14 of 17 league games, drawing three). Atletico's lead now down to a point - they'll probably be hoping for a draw in El Clasico this weekend. I said it before but I'd find it pretty hilarious if Koeman won La Liga, after the abuse he got (see also, David Moyes and West Ham fans).

Liverpool will outscore them easily. They might be unbeaten since the 1st of December but they have no attack outside of Benzema, who still wastes plenty of chances. In Modric and Kroos they probably have the two best midfielders (kdb excepted) in the world but no matter how good those two are they're setting up dross like Vinicius Jr and Lucas Vazquez, who are worse than useless.

Even with Ramos and Varane playing they'd struggle and they would have to grind out low scoring victories in both legs. No way that their back ups keep out Salah, Mane, Jota and Firmino.

Neither Porto or Chelsea will be a challenge in the semi final so we're basically in the final. 8)

This can't be happening it is a mistake. Plenty of time left in the tie. Away goal and we're basically through.
