John Madejski's Wallet I have zero loyalty to English clubs in Europe unless I actually like the club

Seems weird to hate someone on a Saturday and cheer them on a Tuesday.

I just view it as good for the English league and hopefully the National team

With you on this, albeit I don't really 'hate' club sides like others do.

Indeed

Don't hate any clubs. It's always seemed very odd to me.

Chelsea are an appalling club nasty fans and crooked owners since the 80s.

And then there’s Mourinho.

His lies and behaviour after the Hunt/Cech business shamed the club. Although tbf the constant racism throughout their history is a bit of an indicator.

There's always been this paradox with Chelsea, this whole fashionable Kings Rd thing thing coupled with the rampant nastiness at the heart of the club and it's fans. The only club in England to install electric fences to keep their own fans in check.

And then you throw Mourinho into the mix. The turd cherry on top of the turd icing on top of the turd cake

Ken Bares went on to own the Chelsea of the North. Another club of horrific fans and players.

Read a couple of interesting articles praising Lampard's influence at Chelsea, both on the playing side and off the pitch, in particular in securing the Ziyech and Werner transfers. Seems to be considered that Frank is building something pretty competently at the club.

Chelsea have hit a bit of a financial sweet spot at a time when other clubs are pulling in their budgets - almost a shot to nothing for the Blues where due to the transfer ban they haven't spent the c. £100m they got for Hazard, and have £48m (lol) coming in for Morata, whose move to Atletico becomes permanent (and basically pays for Werner).

Havertz and Chilwell in their sights now, albeit I expect they will only land the latter.

That’s a shocker today.

Read online that ever since Chelsea started playing in their new shirt sponsored by 3, in each game, either Chelsea or their opponents have scored 3 goals, weird.

Bit unlucky for Pedro who suffered a dislocated shoulder in his last appearance for Chelsea

Chelsea unlucky with Pulisic injury/poor ref but on the day, weren’t good enough and deserved the loss

Really struggling to understand the hype with Hudson Odoi currently, never seems to do much when he plays, perhaps Sarri was right all along! The fact that a 32 year old who’s leaving got on ahead of him says enough. May have a future, but certainly needs to work on a lot of things, I get the impression he already thinks he’s made it

Two ‘elite’ Premier teams, who play themselves on a regular basis.

Semi-finals being played on the ‘hallowed turf’ (that was pimped-out to another ‘elite‘ team for league matches), the magic has long since gone.

No BBC build-up in the team and fan coaches, no all day coverage.

No wonder nobody really gives a f11ck

Oops and a  just in case.

Agreed. Not sure there’s really much magic left.

Can we still blame Man Utd from 99/00 for this?!

Chelsea sign Chilwell.

They are in serious danger of having a fantastic squad. Just a goalkeeper and a centre back away.

Think they lack a holding midfielder

I like Jorginho, but Lampard doesn’t seem to too much

Kante’s ability is restricted as a holding player, he’s better as a box to box midfielder. Someone in a similar ilk like Matic from a few years ago, and the two positions you’ve mentioned and I can see them being contenders

Loads of signings but they still have to gel.
I don't think Chilwell improves them defensively (where they have had problems) but I do like him as an attacking player.

Chelsea sign Thiago Silva.

Decent signing if for nothing else he is vastly experienced and will help a lot of the younger players there.
