The changes made at half time were just a mistake, Wenger seems to have lost all tactical sense this season.

FiNeRaIn Arsenal are really not a force anymore, not sure why RR can't see that. Don't understand this " boo-hoo" post he made at all...its a trend not a one off boo-hoo defeat. Arsenal have gone from being a dominant side to pushovers and barring van persie this season would be mid table at best. Arsene needs to spend money to get in 3/4 authoritive consistent European class players or let someone else come in. He's been a remarkable manager for them but its probably an end of an era.

Agree with much of this, especially the gulf in class opening up between Arsenal and European competition. It’s a shame some of Arsene’s youngsters haven’t pushed on a little more, it’s been an honourable approach to managing such a big club to put so much faith in young players and it hasn’t quite paid off. That doesn’t detract from the fact that in full flow Arsenal are brilliant to watch and that is to Wenger’s credit. Isn’t it slightly hypocritical that the same fans who bemoan City spending their way to success also point fingers at Wenger’s approach?

Don’t see your point with Van Persie – sure if you take away his goals they’d be struggling, but he is part of the team so his goals count. Take away Ba’s goals and ‘Newcastle are shite’, take De Gea out of the United goal and they are already champions, and so on. It’s a pointless comment.

Still, at least they qualified for the CL.

Royal Rother David Moyes.

Interesting that people always go on about what a good job Moyes has done at Everton on limited resources, which he has.
It doesn't mean that he would automatically be more successful if he had more money to spend on better players at a bigger club.
I have a feeling that managers like him and our Brian might be better at managing non-star players and getting the best out of them rather than managing players with big egos, something that the likes of Fergie and 'Arry have been able to do so well.

It does make a change this year to hear moaning Chelsea,Arsenal and Man Utd fans on radio phone-ins and most of them thinking they have a divine right to success every season.

I'm not sure what point you think it proves. Arsenal are 'struggling' this season, but still 4th in the league, and during his tenure Arsenal have won 8 domestic trophies (including 3 league titles) to Spurs' two league cups.

Past success lends a manager more time. Hence Spurs getting through managers like home kits.

...but he's still a dead man walking. LUX was right - flat track bullies - for the "Best Footballing Team in England" they haven't really translated that to actually winning much have they?
