AthleticoSpizz  we are talking about Wigwam and Hull here aren't we?

I meant, nothing sub standard about the teams fielded by Liverpool, Everton and Spurs in their cup defeats to Arsenal this season.

Bugger the shovel, just rent a JCB.

Hoop Blah
Royal Rother Fabianski wasn't at fault for either goal.

I didn't say he was. He's not as good a shot stopper as Szczesny though as so it's not beyond the realms to think their number one keeper might've got a finger tip to the first or done better than turnig the second away into the path of Davies.

Not keeper errors no, but just like any shot where the commentators say they're 'unstoppable' you see keepers pulling off unbelievable saves at times and the better keepers, like Szczesny, do it more often than the rest.

It is generally acknowledged amongst Arsenal fans that Fabianski is every bit as good a shot-stopper as Szczesny, if not better. He's just not quite as commanding and a bit flappier on crosses and hence has been No 2 in the normal pecking order.

Snowball Ramsey's goal-scoring as a midfielder is fabulous

He was out injured for a fair bit but still managed 18 goals in 32 starts,
5 goals in 7 Champions League starts

Yeah, he's really crap

The amount of criticism Arsenal have received over the years for always trying to score the perfect goal and being generally shot-shy has been amazing considering the number of goals they notch every season.

Now in Ramsey they have some not afraid to take a pot-shot when an opportunity presents itself and what happens.....?

I don't think they're saying he's crap. Like Andy Cole. The joke was he had to have at least 4 shots for every goal he scored, yet one of the top scorers in the PL

Made a great save at full stretch towards the end when they were 3-2 up. Powerful shot down to his right that came through legs and he saw very late indeed.

Nameless Really pleased to see Arsenal get that trophy, just a shame Liverpool didn't take the league and complete a double for 'real football'

Good lord.

Is it? I'm not an Arsenal fan so wouldn't know but I'll take your word on it. I'm only judging them on the bits I get to see of them where he doesn't look at good as their number 1 in any department really (I've not seen enough to be an authority on it mind).

Not playing you're number 1 in a cup final and then not winning it is a bit of a gamble though. It could easliy have been 3 or more goals from set pieces without your most commanding goalkeeper which wouldn't have looked too clever (and of course the pulled back corner for Huddlestone to fluff wouldn't have been effected by a more commanding keeper!). If it was a one off then Wenger might've got away with it. That they've done it too often over the last 9 years I think he'd rightly come in for some stick.

AthleticoSpizz Happy for Arsenal...they needed that

Hardly a massive victory ................penalties v Wigwam and eventually an ET win against the massive 'ull City

Where were the big boys (the Manchesters/ the Livertons/the Chelseahotspurs etc) to put in that proper challenge?

A bit like a team only needing to beat -

Crusaders of Belfast
Trabzonspor
St Etienne
FC Zurich
Borussia Monchengladbach

- to win the European Cup?

Where were the big boys, (the Real Madrid's'/Bayern Munich's'/Ajax's/Barcelona's etc) to put in that proper challenge??

I always find those sort of comparisons trite as, for example, Borussia Monchengladbach won the Bundesliga three times between 1975 and 1977.

Where were the 'big boys'?

At home, beaten soundly.

Just to fill in the gaps

Spurs, Liverpool and Everton were knocked out by Arsenal
Chelsea were knocked out by Manchester City
Manchester United were knocked out by a Premiership team
Manchester City were knocked out by the holders

As well as Wigan (the holders who beat Man City)

See that alone is some task, knocking all 4 of those out.........hence why Spizz looks a knob here (even though he's digging deeper saying it some kind of fishing trip)
