QPR celebratory pitch invasion LOLZ

by Schards#2 » 26 Apr 2011 11:35

ALOL @ QPR fans invading the pitch to celebrate promotion, only to hear Norwich have notched a last minute winner, and then standing around wondering what to do.

Reminiscent of a Reading relegation of the late 70's (?) where we needed to win and Exter lose to stay up, we won and the tannoy announced Exeter were losing resulting in pitch invasion related mahem, followed by an announcement that Exeter got a late equaliser and it finished 1-1

nearly as funny as Torres's goals to games ratio vs his ROFLecord bROFLeaking tROFLansfer Fee.

nearly as funny as Reading having the play-offs to look forward to when 6 weeks ago we thought our season was over.

Any excuse to go on the pitch really. LOL away but we'd have done the same.

tbh, QPR are promoted - there is no way they will lose an 18 goal advantage

That is quite funny. Pretty much promoted and champions, but not guaranteed of it. And all because of a late late goal.

Can you remember who we beat? I'm pretty sure it was Newport V Exeter but can't recall our opponents.

And, yes QPR are as good as promoted but you just can't celebrate it like when it's a mathematical certainty can you?

Wasn't it Wrexham? Our win relegated them at the same time. And, iirc, the Newport v Exeter match kicked off 15 minutes later at 3.15. Again, iirc, Newport always kicked off at that time.

I think it was Wrexham they went down with us. Dixon scored the goal down the Tilehust end. From memory they didn't anounce what had hapened at Exeter, everyone had found out themselves and just drifted away.

Home to Swansea in the second leg of the play offs. It'll bring back memories of 1993. Lovely stuff.

Will they do another when the FL deduct 20 points and QPR stay down?

I was going to go and stand outside the hearing a play 'Tom Hark' on my ipod after the verdict goes against them.
