Royal Ginger I'm surprised Pards wants a move back to London. Didn't he reputedly escape to the North to avoid the heavies turning up at his door for gambling debts? Plus, any compo deal to get him out of his long Newcastle deal must be huge.

1st - not sure the thought of a 300 mile drive would have been enough to prevent the heavies turning up at his new front door.

2nd - I believe he was on a very low annual salary for a PL manager - iro £500k. On that basis Palace may only have to pay £2m to get him.

3rd - reportedly he will triple his salary at Palace and have a massive bonus if he keeps them up.

4th - I should imagine that having seen his wife and family go through years of abuse at the hands of Geordie Neanderthals (with lots more to come) he may have finally decided enough was enough.

I think he's got out of Newcastle at the perfect time and I do think he'll keep Palace up and pocket a few million in the process. Fair play to the man.

With Ashley wanting to become more and more involved in Rangers, I wouldn't be surprised if he sold Newcastle in the summer anyway, at which point Pardew would probably be a dead man walking anyway, as most owners want their own manager anyway

Happy? It might not be attractive football, but if you back him financially, he'll keep you in the PL.

Pepe the Horseman Should never have been appointed in the first place.

Exactly what I was going to say!

Vision Peter Taylor gone from Gillingham.

If the sacking of Martin Allen was harsh then that is just a baffling decision. Even his interview on local radio didn't really seem to help (and if anything it raised more questions), even if it seems Taylor was getting abuse from the fans - quite why I don't know, it was always going to be a close call whether they stayed up or not this season and they'd recently recorded their first away wins of the season so if anything I thought things were looking up.

Is that just based on x happened previously therefore x will definately happen again?

Based on ugly but effective football, but keeping the club in the PL first of is a big ask. If he does, I think he'll keep them there as he did with Stoke, but he needs to add his players to the squad, obviously.

Very as going behind at west ham has just dropped us into relegation zone on goal difference This will show Pulis exactly what he needs to do and which players get binned

Yeah Very happy, Poor AFI didn't have a scooby. He's been given a big war chest for a winter window (reportedly £15m) We already have a Backbone of a decent team. If he does keep us hopefully he can stablise us as he did with Stoke

Not sure his wife's feelings are always at the top of Pardew's list of priorities.

I'm guessing Baggie192 is satisfied with the start Pulis has made.

He's been trading off past glories for a month. That's surely the only reason he's still in the post.

Or that Forest are already oxf*rd for FFP for the foreseeable and they can't afford to sack him.

And I bet the £10m fee for Darlow and Lacelles is heavily weighted with future payments and appearance clauses and probably only a couple of million up front.

Forest are fast becoming a toxic club. If Pearce goes, you'd have to be mad or desperate to consider taking that job in their current situation.

Neil Adams resigns as Norwich manager. Mike Phelan takes over on a caretaker basis to be begin with at least.
