exileinleeds Colin's back!
Boro have sacked Woodgate, and appointed Colin....who undoubtedly only took the job as it was a lifelong ambition.

6ft Kerplunk Must be 7 or 8 jobs he's taken since he left his last ever job at Sheffield United. Seems a very un-Gibson* type of appointment though, is it a full contract or just until the end of the season to try and keep them up. Properly gutted we're not in the office at the moment so I can't laugh at my colleague all afternoon. Might suggest we need a zoom call.
* Apart from Pulis I guess

Sutekh Middlesbrough is the eighteenth club that Mr Warnock has managed (his first club was Gainsborough Trinity back in 1980 ). Middlesbrough is his eighth managerial appointment since leaving Sheffield United in 2007 although, as correctly pointed out above, one of those eight appointments was as a caretaker at Queens Park Rangers for a month in 2015.
Just to complete the picture Mr Warnock started his playing career as a winger with Chesterfield back in 1967 and he chose to retire at 30 to move into coaching. He apparently also holds the record for most promotions achieved as a manager (8) in English football.
While he’s a divisive character you can’t argue that he gets results wherever he goes though whether he has enough time to save ‘boro remains to be seen, though I would expect him to manage it.
Even though it’s great to annoy him when Reading play his teams many Reading fans wouldn’t have been too upset if he had been appointed as Reading manager at any point in the last six or seven years.
