Weekend Football 27/28 August.

by leww_rfc » 27 Aug 2011 11:04

Wigan were kinda blessed with the fixtures to start, playing their 3rd newly promoted opponents today in as many weeks. Lets just hope they can actually beat QPR today and not bore out another draw.

Hi Chi.

Joey Barton not available for QPR today, trust his first game for them to be against the Toon.

Personally think something should be done about these 'gentleman's agreements' but then I guess Warnock isn't forced to pick him.

Villa-Wolf's on here

More interesting than the nil draw would tend to indicate

Villa the better chances but couldn't finish, and in fact it was their neighbours who finished the match on top

News of Villa's sale of Luke Young to QPR breaks during the match

Why were both Dunn and Pedersen taken off on 34 minutes for Blackburn?

Injury on each count, per sportinglife's scrolling match commentary

The only thing missing would've been the postmatch presser with the two of 'em sat either side of Grim Sourpuss

To say nothing of a pair of red cards --but who's counting ;)

Most of the pundits are reasonably well-known players who reached the top flight, or managed for a few years - wonder what sort of contacts our Kevin Watson had to score a spot on Soccer Saturday.

how long has keen got at blackburn before the new owners axe him? he should never have been given the job in the first place when they came in and sacked someone as experienced as allardyce and claimed they needed are more successful and experienced manager. he was never going to work out.

Yep, he's a class apart.

Liverpool could have 3 or 4 already, this midfield looks electric.
