Euro Qualifier Playoffs

by manny96 » 11 Nov 2011 14:49

Turkey v Croatia
Estonia v Ireland
Czech Republic v Montenegro
Bosnia Herzegovina v Portugal

1st Leg 11th November, 2nd Leg 15th November

Quite looking forward to these - mainly for Ireland. It's been too long without them (or any other 'home' nation) in a major tournament. Always going to be an England fan but can't say I like the team very much at all and have been a bit disinterested with expectation/performances of late.

Portugal, Ireland, Montenegro and Croatia to go through for me.

Alright. Apologies. Again. I really should know better having taught English  .

Disenchanted. A much better word.

Went to Tallinn last month, came back a bit of a fan of Estonia so I'll be hoping they can somehow manage to get through.

Bosnia v Portugal is going to be interesting.

No Doyle or Long, could well be Simon Cox staring for RoI.

Yeah, Keane conjured back so will most likely start - Cox or Walters to partner him. I suspect Walters even though Cox is a better player for me.

The Irish are home and dry. 3-0 up away from home and Estonia are down to 9 men with over 10 minutes still left.

I reckon Montenegro still have a chance at home against the Czechs. Ibisevic should have won it for Bosnia and although they're not out of it, I don't see how they'll get a result away.

Do away goals count?

Think they do as Slovenia knocked out Russia on the away goals two years ago.

Still think Bosnia have a chance, they pushed France all the way in the final group game and even took the lead in Paris last month.
