FA Cup 3rd round

by cmonurz » 06 Jan 2012 20:34

Huddersfield 6-0 up at Wycombe after 65 minutes, Jordan Rhodes has 5 of them.

Messi-like in his goalscoring, Rhodes has 27 goals in 22 games this season.

Liverpool went a goal down to Oldham, but are leading 2-1 after 60 minutes.

What does a League 1 match have to do with the 3rd round of the Cup?

Oops. Nevermind, it's noteworthy anyway.

Liverpool leading at Anfield.

Who are to be the giant killers of round 3?

Fleetwood Town or Manchester United maybe?

Liverpool 5-1 Oldham. Carroll scores and misses a sitter.

Wonder if Bolton might have some problems at Macclesfield, and have a feeling Gillingham might turn Pulis over. MK Dons v QPR could be another upset.

Just seen the goals Rhodes scored tonight, and to be honest I would put 4 down to them to:

a) shocking defending +goal keeping
b) tap in's

If he had scored 5 25 yard screamers whilst beating a few players each time then yeah I could see what all the fuss is ...... but I would be willing to bet you

a) wouldn't get those mistakes in Championship
b) our strikers could easily score these efforts.

MK Dons is a good shout. Think Swindon will beat Wigan as well

He's got 27 in 22 games this season, he hasn't just lucked into a couple of tap ins.

I was just saying that 4 of the 5 he got tonight were a bit easier. I wonder how many more tap in's he has got in those 22 games .....

I've only seen a few of his goals, and a couple of them have been absolute quality. He does appear to have a cracking first touch.

Crawley could turn Bristol City over and I have a feeling Wednesday may do the 'Ammers. Those aside, Swindon v Wigan and reading v Stevenage could cause upsets.

Cardiff to win at West Brom at around 4/1 is my bet of the day.

Wolves to beat Birmingham 2/1 is great value, especially after having seen the teams. Also Blackburn at 5/1 is crazy IMO against Newcastle.

Gillingham could turn Stoke over imo. Also Stevenage on current form will fancy their chances against us.

Also Brighton might find Wrexham a bit tricky - Wrexham are top of the conference and Brighton don't like the physical side of the game so could be one to look out for.
