Which football ground in London is the best?

Leyton Orient is a personal favourite because of the real ales available in the social club and the clever use of blocks of flats in the corners.

Fulham because of the Archibald Leitch brickwork and other period features, not least the cottage itself. Also the river running along side it.

I like Brentford's ground, Griffin Park. A proper old-school stadium with charactor and the only UK stadium to have a pub on each corner of the ground. I also like Charlton's, The Valley. Wembley and Emirates are great stadiums, but I don't think they've got the charactor yet to be classed, the best.

I do like Brentford actually. Proper League ground with character and atmosphere, especially evening games. Everything that Loftus Road isn't.

Fulham and Brentford.

The latter just sneaking it for:

Having two terraces
A pub on each corner
Being gr8 hosts in 2002

The view of those of a certain vintage will be tainted by the antics of the Met in the late 80s/early 90s at both these grounds. Nicking people for farting was a common occurence. Fulham in 1990 was particularly bad as a constant stream of kids were marched out throughout the game. I can only imagine it was the end of the Met reporting year, and they had targets to meet.

Wow guys, I'm pleasantly suprised so many of you agree with me that Brentford is a cool ground. I half expected to get shot down for that one.

Brentford - best ground
Fulham - best drinking day
Chelsea - best top flight ground, and most improved (with a nod towards Charlton)
Orient - best burgers

QPR - worst ground
Spurs - longest drunken walk from the tube
Barnet - dullest journey
Arsenal - I prefer Highbury
Millwall - dullest ground

Dagenham - not been

* Acknowledges JSCs post about the Met, Fulham was always the worst for this

Craven Cottage. Certainly some bad memories of over zealous policing in the late 80's and early 90's but a ground that has been modernised without destroying its character, in a pleasant location and pretty easy to get to.

I love WHL, may go back to when I was a young lad and taken to Spurs games, but it's got such a great atmosphere and feel of a compact ground which I could imagine as terraces
