Spurs fans just need to keep in mind how they treated him when he was a young lad learning his trade and went 26 games without a win.

Considered a jinx and dealt with harshly by the WHL crowd, he will at least have seen the ugly side of things at the Lane and will be able to make a more rounded decision when he comes to weighing up his future.

How is it nonsensical when it actually happened?

I sensed a disturbance in the force, as if a million irony meters suddenly screamed out, then fell silent.

i think he could take his choice of just about any.based on current form.then again,he could turn out to be another one trick pony like berbatov and modric.how much did the respective clubs line the lilywhites pockets with again?

Victor Meldrew Back to Bale (people like retro are so concerned about Liverpool that they try to sabotage other topics)-A very exciting player but still a long way behind Messi and Ronaldo.
His general play needs to improve before he can be compared to those 2 special players.
Last night he did very little other than score the two goals, the first was a bit routine but the second was nearly as good as that left back scored against Spurs the other day in the Europa League. What made last night's goal special was that it won the game for Spurs and was the type to take your breath away.
One additional good thing is that Bale seems to have stopped diving.

Correction-he hasn't stopped diving.
