David Gill on the replacement "Clearly he has to be experienced at the highest level and in Europe"

Well Moyes isn't that man, yet it seems that is who they're bringing in! Announcement expected tomorrow. I'm on the edge of my seat, honest.

Why are you copying over pics from websites where you don't know what the 'joke' is. Very odd behaviour.

Yeah, it's a fence and some trees. What's the big deal?

Best manager of all time, he'll be one tough act to follow.

In terms of trophies undoubtedly. What did he innovate?

Bob Paisley won 6 League championships and 3 European cups in 11 years. Fergie got 13 and 2 in 27 years. Best ever? Dont be daft.

So you're a Di Matteo man, then?

Funny to think Ryan Giggs will soon be playing under the second manager of his career.

Approx NET transfer spend, Fergie era (since Nov86): #cfc £726m (3 titles); #mcfc £538m (1); #lfc £331m (2); #mufc £307m (13); #afc £58m (5)

Exceptional from SAF, but Wenger deserves a lot of credit for what he's achieved on very little in comparison.

In a way, SAF is a bit like the queen to me. I've never known anyone else to manage MUFC, and only RL was around when George VI was on the throne

Sick and tired of hearing about this this sweaty sock. He has only been so successful because he has had millions to spend, let's see him try working on a snow string budget like AW

After watching the over the top coverage of this news I'd just like to say RIP Fergie. Thoughts are with his friends and family at this difficult time.

How many Scotish titles did Paisley win? He inherited a great team from Shankly. I don't like Man Utd but he turned the biggest joke in English football to what they are today. His achievements in Scotland for me outway what he did at United. The European cup was a piece of piss in Paislys day the mighty part timers from Bruge and Malmo used to make the final.

I was thinking along the same lines, I'm glad that SSN have decamped to OT but I think it's a bit disrespectful of them not to be wearing black

A minute plus, surely? Fergie would like that.
