Ouroboros From Despair To Where? I take your point but for every thumping handed out to Croatia, there's points dropped against sides like Israel, Macedonia or Montenegro, or unconvincing performances against the likes of Andorra and Luxembourg.
Er... so hasn't Hodgson's time so far been like this ^ just without the thumpings?
I did say that his start was inconsistent but away draws with Ukraine and Poland are not bad results in themselves, neither is a draw in Montenegro (who incidentally got 2 draws out of England the last time they met in qualifying).
Maybe failing to win at home to Ukraine is disappointing but to suggest there have been no thumpings when the wins have been by margins of 5-0, 5,-0, 8-0, 4-0 and 4-1 is somewhat wide of the mark IMO.
My point is that there are clear signs of progress under Hodgson.
